:)

I am new. I have PS7 (I took a class but it honestly didn't go into anything like this) but never have used it for digital layouts (I am kind of lazy  ) and recently bought Fotofusion. I hope to use both programs to create some neat layouts for Christmas gifts.

Hi Rachel!
Welcome! I use the same two graphics program you do! My first PS class was the same - it taught me lots but did not make any application to scrapbooking. So it was good but I needed the connection. I took the class that Emma teaches here at DSP for Intro to PS and it really made the connection to scrapbooking. It's very worthwhile. I also took the FF class taught here! I love Fotofusion. It's amazing how much you can do with FF!!! It's really a phenomenal scrapbooking program! I want to get to where I use PS to make elements but do all my layouts in FF. It's really quicker and easier once you really understand it.
I look forward to meeting you in some of the online chat/crops! Have fun!

I look forward to people teaching me how to do stuff. When is the class taught? It is something I would love to do.

Is there stuff you can add to FotoFusion? Layouts and pre-made stuff? I keep looking and everything is for sale :( and since I have no idea how to make stuff... it gets extremely frusterating. :(

1- Check out the yahoo scrapbook group
2- Check out the gallery at LumaPix.com
3- Catch the FotoFusion class taught by Samuel (DSP) at your earliest opportunity
4- Yes, you can use the wonderful free (or purchased) digital elements online
5- ENJOY and don't be afraid to experiment AND ask questions ...

Fotofusion falls into the assembly category, and PS is in the creation category. So Mek's idea of creating elements in PS and assembling layouts in FF is a great one! So you can make, download, or purchase elements, and open them in FF just like you open a photo

Welcome to DSP! Looking forward to having you in my PS class next month ;)

Emma
who has FF, but has never used it and really ought to take the class!
