View Full Version : Gimme Your Color Schemes for Early Learning!

I liked AmyEileen's suggestion of a kit for early learning - those milestones toddlers and preschoolers go through which we like to save the dates of.
So let's see a set of five colors you'd like to see in a toddler time kit. Think about the colors of a playroom or learning environment but not too too primary colorish. Where you'd take photos of a toddler playing in the home, maybe. I'd like it to be usable for girls and boys alike.
As always, if I pick your color scheme, you win the kit - usually before it's even available in the store! And if I make extras, you get those too, automatically! I check the color scheme gallery whenever I need to for other products as well, and if I ever use your scheme, you will always get that kit free.
For this one, element suggestions are welcome! I have enough in mind for the kit but you know I always make extras!!
Post your color schemes to the Color Scheme Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2379) by midnight on Monday, October 16. I'll get smackin' on a toddler kit right after! And thanks!

Here's my first ever attempt at a colour scheme: Lucy's Art Colour Scheme (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=136274&cat=2379)
The Pre-school she goes to actually has the blue and pink as their colours.

Deadline for this is coming up soon! Doesn't anyone else want to play? Should my feelings be hurt?

I would love to play but I'm not sure how!! Do you just pick the colors you like and put them together on a fake layout or something? Or is this some kind of artist thing where you 'make' or 'invent' colors? See, I don't even know how to ask the right question!!!

I DO know that I really liked honeymoon's little helper, Lucy's choice of colors! If you are voting or something, that I can do!!! And I will vote for Lucy!!!! And I would love to make a layout using a kit with her colors!

Oh, sorry, I didn't answer your question before, Lisa'sMom. Just choose any five colors you'd like to see together. You can pick them from a photo or just out of your head. It's just fun to play around with until you get something that really seems to click! And I'm not always good at that, so I depend on you people!

I can't wait to see which you choose, Elisabeth. I have a favorite, but, taking my granddaughter to pre-school on Mondays, I have her classroom in mind. I might not make the chats, but I WILL be looking for the kit. DGD has been bringing home some wonderful things.

A couple suggestions.. a background or mat like the alphabet mat in the pic included with my color scheme 1 and perhaps one of those....gosh, what do u call them - the thingy where you keep track of kids' heights. Not sure how but would be nice if it can cater from babies to toddlers.

Thanks everyone! Closing the challenge and I'll probably start on this kit in the next day or two. I see some good choices, now to pick one!
Ann, I'm cracking up at your avatar! Too funny that Mackenzie has been accepted into Hogwarts' School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!

I think I've picked a color scheme, and I'm sorry I haven't updated, but I've been working on BCA stuff this month. I'll get this done soon; thanks everyone!

EEk! *STill* apologizing! I'm really struggling with this kit because I'm determined that it will have a "clean" look to it, and that hasn't traditionally been my design style. But I do work on it every day! I chose Ann's color scheme (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=139549&cat=2379) a while back and no regrets, this will happen! I'll choose another random winner too since I'm taking so long in the creation phase! I've been able to pump out other products for November and I'm excited about them, but they seemed easy compared to this one!
Do you all want another color scheme challenge for November or are you too busy making your Christmas gifts? I can go either way; this is your forum!

Okay, come up with a color scheme for pets, and specifically dogs, because I'm getting TWO NEW PUPPIES this Friday!!!! I'm so gonna be a new Mommy again!
The pups I am getting are white, black, and tan, but you don't have to include those in the color scheme. Whee hee hee hee heeeeeeeee heee! I get to do a doggie kit!
But I will NOT start on it before finishing the Early Learning kit. I'm sorry folks, I've had other dsp projects and doctors' appointments and hospital work, and for the last four days haven't worked on designing zip. So that's my first thing I get back to!

Gosh, I forgot to say - my random winner is Handkl - Hannah, that is. It's sent to Hannah and Ann and the kit is in the store. I'm in town for the next couple of days and then out of town for Thanksgiving with (maybe) internet access! But I do want to say what I am thankful for, and it's being on this great team on this wonderful site with absolutely AWESOME members like YOU! I appreciate you all more than you know and definitely more than I show! THANK YOU ALL for making this "art dream" possible for me!
