Hi,
Just trying to get an idea on what you all do for your xmas cards.. my ds will be almost one was going to go have them done, but thought it would be nice if I did - so my ? is do you take his photo with a background that you set up or do you extract and use on of these backgrounds or a little of both.... just wondering if I should save me the $100 or so and do it myself!
Thanks!!

I am going to try to do my own this year. The problem is when I get my son all dressed up in Christmas clothes he usually will not cooperate and pose for a picture. So, I'm going to just try to catch a cute casual picture, then extract it and somehow put him in front of our tree from last year. Maybe even recolor his shirt to red or something. I haven't quite decided. I would love to hear people's ideas.

Yeah, I'm also going to be attempting mine this year, and thought I would just use cute, good photo's which I've taken through the year and use those either whole or extracted with the rest of the theme Christmasy!!!!

I took Natalia's last year on the merry-go-round at our local mall, she was almost 2 1/2 y/o, and she loves the merry-go-round so she was all smiles! Here's the card I came up with http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=63809&cat=500&ppuser=3397 -I had them printed as 5x7's and put my own greeting on the back.

Oh this is just adorable!! I love it!
This year I am going to try it for the first time as well. I took a great picture of a cactus with some snow around it (the only snow we got last year...in March) and I was going to add some background and elements to it as well. I hope it turns out of....we'll see! Good luck to all who venture into this as well!

How do you manage to get him to pose so well for you all the time, Tina? And he always has the beautiful wonder in his eyes. So nice. I am planning on sticking my son in red, then somehow sneak into a room where he might be lurking and may be, just may be, if he doesnt see me, I might be able to get a smile out of him for a card this year. lol Wish me luck. If I happen to succeed, I will post here. Look forward to seeing other peoples creations.:D :D
