I own a Kodak z740, and I have been pretty happy with it. I have used many of the scene modes it has and of course automatic most of the time. It has what is called PASM, which if I understand correctly, means I can manually adjust for shutter priority or aperature priority. The thing is, I have no idea what that really means! :p Can anyone recommend a good how-to book for a camera like mine?

Here are the specs of my camera:
Kodak z740 (http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=6551&pq-locale=en_US)

I might be heading to Borders shortly-- would love to have a couple of titles to seek. Thank you!

Just glanced at the specs for your camera and I think that PASM is Programme, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority and Manual. so you are able to have more control than just setting a scene mode.

Someone else may be able to reccommend a book for you to read, but I think I would just google aperture priority and shutter priority and read up on what they mean and then practice using those settings, have a look at the exif data when you find a shot you like the look of.

There is a little bit of info here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15172) and some photos here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1964) that might help you, any other questions just ask and I'm sure someone will be able to help :)
