I'm new here so, I don't know about this. I haven't actually got ot use one yet since I don't have my software yet. However, I am downloading some.

If the kit says 12x12, can you still use it for 8x10? Does it matter or does it automatically fit the page into the 8x10 if you choose it? I will be using the starter kit from DSP.

I just wanted to know because I wasn't going to download anymore if I won't be able to use them!

Thanks!

I usually crop the paper to the size I need if I'm making a different shape (rectangle as opposed to square). I do most of my layouts 8 x 8 so I can just re-size, but if I were you, I'd crop because if you try to "re-size", it might distort the picture on the background. Of course if it's a solid paper, I'm not sure it would matter.

As Molly says, it would be better to cut out a piece of the paper to the size you want, do go ahead and use them though, freebies are wonderful to use and are great quality :) Have fun :)

I also do all my layouts in 8x8... So I have to resize or cut the pages and things the smaller size. It's not a problem and most of the kits are of high enough quality you can't tell they are resized unless you are zoomed in very closely. Good luck!!

Thankyou all for responding. I will keep that in mind when doing layouts.
