I've really been enjoying Janet's DustbustingChallenge. How about one where we do layouts with the very recent challenge bonuses we get, to prevent them from becoming dusty?

How about a moment that changed your life and how?

Funny quotes you have seen on DSP.

I really think we should make a challenge about who can incorporate the most challenges into their layouts.

I think we need something SLOWER!!!! I think I have mentioned in a chat once that I am NOT one of those "fast women" you hear tell about!
How about something like a "Nab a Newbie" challenge where we encourage new members of DSP to participate -- like get points over the course of a week if we get a new person to join DSP, or invite someone to a chat they've never been to before, or help them with their first posting, or help them sign up for a class, or something like that. Or would that be too hard to track?

Oh! I hope you don't think I meant it badly - I was only having a giggle! I'm sorry, I should have let it lie in the Quiz thread instead of hihacking this one with that. :o
Sorry.

With this being the time of year where we seem to go from one Holiday to another (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) Why not do a challenge for members to scrap their favorite Holiday (whether it be a national holiday or something close to their own regions).

No - you misunderstood! I thought it was funny. I agree with Mars about the quip of the day.

In another thread somewhere else (don't remember where) someone was asking how to make rippled reflections in water. The response was a few instructions on using the liquify function (Photoshop). I've also noticed Ann Maree's tut on making a planet.
What about a challenge to use the best 'special effect' that you can find. It might be a difficult one to get the specifics, but you two could post one photo for everyone to use and the challenge could be to make a layout applying the best special effects. And, perhaps even in the LO put the instructions on how to do that effect in your program.

LOL Chris & Erin, you guys came up with suggestions that I had in my mind for possible challenges! We'll see how we can work those out. There are a couple other suggestions made that we may also use. Thanks for taking the time to make suggestions and do keep them coming!

A few weeks ago I made up a rap song about our family, and then scrapped it. It wasn't my intention to do either item, but it turned out to be fun. So, my suggestion is to write a little ditty, and then scrap it. During birthday week, we wrote little jingles for Kim's thread. We just didn't scrap them.
Here's the one I did, as an example:

When I was doing all those fairy layouts, I thought it would be fun to do sort of "I SPY" pages like the books children love so much. You would have to do lots of blendings to hide whatever you would be hiding. Little nature things, whatever, you all know the books I hope, find stars, find two rabbits, etc. Do you think we have enough things in the kits to hide? Marcee has her pot pourri kits, little real life animals would be cute too. Want do you ladies think?

I havent got any cute kits, because my kids aren't cute!! Ha Ha!! I rather like all the fantasy stuff lately that we did, what about dreams, they could be really surreal and just about anything really! But then I am weird as you know!! :):)

What about our goals in life.........so we have something to look back on every once and awhile to keep us going......because I know I'm not done yet, I still have things I want to accomplish.
Or one about a quote or peice of advice we've recieved that has stuck in our brains and meant alot, or been useful, or accurate... maybe one we didn't listen to and should have....either funny or sentimental.

Bumping this up to the top. Chick is taking a break but Odds n Ends will continue in the new year. I would love more suggestions for ideas for challenges please. Thanks!

Hi Mars, I was wondering if Chicks was still around! I guess it is too early for Easter layouts. Lots of wintry things happening up your way though. I love snow stuff, but it never snows here where I am. Everyone would have heaps of christmas photos to scrap I imagine. And New Years is rapidly approaching, fireworks, parties, holdiays, resolutions, hopes, looking back on 2007 etc.
What about a cuddling challenge?
We all cuddle up in the winter (so they could be winter layouts), but our warmer climate friends cuddle too! Pics of couples hugging, moms and kids, etc...

Love the Cuddle suggestion! Lots of New Years and Christmas challenges going on but that's a good one too. I think I will start with something fast and simple to get going again. :)
Thanks for the ideas!

How about a "plopper challenge" for us to use some of those ploppers? I loved the "quickie challenge".

Victoria I have been waiting and waiting for a mod or someone to do a plopper challenge again! lol. That's how I ended up doing the quick click challenge because I kept wishing someone did it. I have the next challenge idea ready, just waiting for word on a posting bonus and then I will post it but I will definitely keep that idea for a coming one. :)

Great idea- I rarely use a plopper. It would be good to have a quick and easy challenge using them. (So long as it is not "10 ploppers in one day challenge" LOL)
