Oh I remember having a sneak peak at these - they are as fantastic as I remember!
Okay, I haven't gotten them YET (I am at work, laptop-less...hehehe), but some suggestions:
yes for the tractor! with cows, pigs, chickens, so FARM themed
what about Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls? Dollhouse type thing (for those with girls)
And for a more 'adult' theme - a pool table, with the balls, pool sticks, cue sticks, what ever they are? Or fuzzball machine theme?
Also a Christmas theme (Yes, I know weird, but) with those felt ornaments people/children make - or the felt calendars that mark down the days to Christmas
Okay, that is all ... for now anyway!
Thank you Meryl for creating these wonderful kits!

I like the farm and animals idea too. Also, red wagons and garden tools would be nice to see and maybe a barn or two, some cars and trucks, gee, the possibilities with this are endless!

I would love to see a trip one-we recently took dd on a road trip to Ohio and Indiana to see her Great Grandpa's-so I guess things like cars, roads, maps, snacks, suitcases, etc.
A Halloween one would be great for the upcoming pictures of trick-or-treating!
We also have new puppy-so one for doggies would be great! You know paw print, collar, leash, tags, dog toys, dog bones, dog house, fire hydrant-lol!!!
These are so cute-can't wait to see what else you make!!!

OMGosh, Meryl! These kits are too cute for words! I am going to scraplift your idea of making a people who love me album for our DD. We do not have family nearby, so this will be perfect to have loved ones in front of her anytime she wants. My question is, for your grandchildren, how are you printing/binding these for them? Thank you for the amazing idea and kits!

My idea for additional kits is inspired by Baby Einstein videos, which our DD just adores. Anytime we have an animal themed video playing, she squeals with delight. Can you create an animal themed one?

Also, basic toys would be neat - train, ball, stacking rings, etc.

I'm about 20 years too late for these kits, which is too bad because I love them. They look like they would be so much fun to play with; great colors and the "felt" and "stitching" are such a cool idea. The dinosaurs are sooo cute as are the other elements.

I tried putting together a kit once and found it to be really hard work - too hard for me - so have a great appreciation for all Meryl has done with these kits.

If you do a farm theme You've just got to have a barn the loft could hold a photo or title the doors could also be open to another photo.there could also be a silo. I collect barns ( minitures ) I could not find place mats for my table
so I made some the silo holds the fork /spoon the barn door holds the napkin.
one other idea tea set / tea party

Our Little Rugrats (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=141657&cat=2621)

I was wondering why people were leaving suggestions here and now I know!!! lol Just checked out the freebie gallery! My idea would be a favorite places to play book. Which would also make a cute new kit, swings, kites, sandboxes, so many cute ideas could come from this I think!!

A few suggestions for more storybook pages... Anything with cars, trucks, dumptrucks, dirtmoving machines (like your doodley boy things) to place in the landscape scenes with child inside. A dollhouse with dolls for little girls to be placed in. A playground. A lake or ocean scene with dock and boats for fishing or swimming stories.

Thanks so much Rlma :) the album I made for josh I had laminated back to back (be careful, sharp corners, need to trim them round) and then put a binder on. Binder was a disaster, next time I would do rings - probably like this one of Christmas recipes (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=72902&cat=1759) - this looks so cute, has little gold bells too :) don't think ribbons will last too long with little one, but will see :) Other great suggestion has been to make a rag book, use transfer paper and print on fabric. Anyone with any info on the saftey of ink and children / babies i.e. chewing and sucking?

I am just loving these suggestions :) thanks everyone. I'd love to keep them in the I need your ideas and suggestions thread (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=18808) - was wondering why they were appearing here - now I know, I put the wrong link in the gallery LOL!!! If you'd like to post them there I would be thrilled - keep them together, but if not - fine also. Thanks again!!!

I thought I would just share a tip on recolouring the Fridge Magnet Alpha - using PSP X.

Often you can re-colour an item by simply choosing:
Adjust - Hue and Saturation - Colorize....
But for these bright Plastic looking letters - this gives a wishy washy result...
To get brighter colours rather do the following:
Open the letter as a new image
and then - Layers - New Adjustment Layer - Hue/Saturation - and spin the wheel to get the colour you want.
Next merge the layers (you need to do this!) then copy or cut and paste into your layout.

Meryl

Great tip Mandy, thank you so much :) I had hoped this would be a very easy alpha to recolourize, it seems fine in PS so wonderful to have that info :)

Hi Everyone!
We are back in San Antonio and I've done nothing since we got here but go through the last little bit of stuff we've had stored - family photos, my story collections from nineteenth century newspapers, my husband's teddy bears - the really difficult stuff. I scanned old photos for 12 hours yesterday and had nightmares last night. Time to get this project completed is quite limited so I can't afford to dawdle over it.

I probably won't make the chat on Thursday because we move to our new home in a different part of the city that day. We are going to sell Christmas trees and will be onsite at the tree lot until the end of the year. I have no idea if I can find internet access nearby or not. I'm hoping I will have time to do some scrapbooking for a change. I miss it and miss hanging around here. :-(

Today is my birthday and I received a nice surprise - a free kit from the DSP store! I am now the happy owner of Happy Noo Noos and will try my best to get a LO done before I pack the desktop computer away tonight.

My DH gave me the most perfect birthday gift - breakfast at the Guenther House and then a day out to myself while he does laundry and runs errands. It has been a most stressful week since we arrived back in Texas and getting away from it all for a few hours will be wonderful. I haven't decided yet if I will go to the mall or a movie or a coffee shop with a good book.

I have learned that my internet access will be EXTREMELY limited until early next year. :-( I'll miss this place.

Is there a deadline for this? I don't see any listed, but I'm sure I must have missed it. I just LOVE this kits. I posted 2 layouts, and I also made my dd a "People who love me book" which turned out great. Here are my layouts.

I think the idea with the tractor from a farm or a backhoe with farm animals pigs, cows, goats, sheep, horses, and animal sounds would be so adorable for children. I love this kit, would love to have it for my Grandchildrens playground pictures. My grandaughter goes to a park where the slide is a dinasour head, and some other prehistoric animals there too. They are so cute, and would look fantastic with this beautifull kit of yours.
