Eye Candy or other Program Question

My DD's eyes do this weird thing with my Digital camera. I call it pet eyes because of the way they shine sometimes. See picture below. Will eye Candy correct this problem or is their another program that would do a better job. DIP only removes the reddness in this picture and it still has the glowing effect like the pet eyes. Any Help is much apperciated.

I dont think eye candy has a filter to fix this - you could carefully paint over the offending glow though in dip

Thanks Lauren. I will have to try that. I hear good things about eye candy though and it will go on my wish list for Christmas then.

I like Eye Candy, but wish it was a little cheaper. Most of the effects are not ones you'd use a whole lot but are cool to have from time to time!

Pet red eyes are hard to fix. Most red eye correction is made for people which tend to have smaller pupils and need less correction. I think PSP has the best tool, which basically paints a new eye with your settings over the glowing eye.

If you have Photoshop, fixing redeye is pretty easy using Channels.

You could zoom in REAL close and repaint the glowing part pixel by pixel! I just bought Eye Candy for myself for Christmas! I love it!

I haven't had any luch with the redeye fix in psp9.
What I do is tedious but works for me.
Enlarge the pic. Circle the pupil. Fill it with black at about half strength. You should be able to see any highlights thru the fill. Turn up the strength to 90 - 100 & and match the size of highlight. Paint it in. You might use a 5 pixel highlight at 50% and then a 1 pixel highlight inside at 100%. The way highlights are you will need to experiment because they will be different on each pic
Then...go back and do the whole thing over again until the pupils are dark enough.

The highlights are very important!!! If you mess them up it just won't look right.

I hope you understand what I said, I'm better at showing something than describing it.
