And I'll likely make it dog oriented, because I'm getting two puppies on Friday! Yeah, it will be a lot of work for me, but I've been dog-free for over a year now, and I never thought I'd be without a dog. I had four, they all died of old age at 11, 13, and 15 (x2). As they were big dogs, the vet kept telling me it was unheard of for dogs that size to live that long. So we must have cared for them well! Now I'm getting two new baby girls, about 2 months old. A co-worker's husband found a box on the road labelled "TRASH" when in fact it had five puppies in it! None were hit by a car. Two have already found good homes, I am taking two, and the last one is claimed. So all is good.

Below are my new babies; I don't have them until Friday. I've been offline a bit trying to prepare for them and I might be again right after I get them.

The color schemes do NOT have to use colors from the photo; just choose anything you might like to see in a pet or dog kit, including metals (because they all have metal tags, right?) Think about the environments you take photos of your pets in and go with that. Five or six colors, please.

Put them in the Color Scheme Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2379) by November 18th at midnight EST, and thanks! As always, if I choose your color scheme, you get the kit free, and before it hits the store even.

Mine will be spoiled rotten too. Vallie, I have a name for one but not the other. On right is Roxy. I didn't know at first that I could have two of them, and another name hasn't come to me as clearly, but I was thinking maybe Inky. Got any suggestions?

The owner and main vet at the Animal Medical Center called me today to ask about them! I took my other dogs there for fifteen years and I knew he'd remember me but I didn't expect a call from him to check up on them before I even have them, lol!

How do i put a color chart together for you? haven't done that!

Are they from the same litter? It's generally not a great idea to get littermates, but if you do, be sure to try and not have them together all the time, you really don't want them to be bonded too much to each other and not your family. Here's an article on this:

What a great idea! We really need more dog stuff! I'm game!

jls613, you just pick some colors either out of a photo of some dogs you have, or use an online color generator, or any way you like to pick colors! Generally it's best if they're not all very bright, varying levels of saturation and light/dark often look better.

Yes, they're siblings. I've done the sibling thing before and we did spend one on one time with each pup; worked out fine! This past year is the longest time I've ever been without a dog so I'm really looking forward to Friday. I know they'll wear me out though!

Wow! It looks like I'm first. Posted my colors here. (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=144742&cat=2379)

Can we enter more than one set?

This will be so much fun to see what you choose and make with these colors! :D

Elisabeth

Those names sound cute. Roxy and Inky. My cat is Dusty that would have been good too. Must go and think up some colours. :):):)

Well, its great to know that there are wonderful people out there who will help puppies in need. I wish we could have a dog but we live in an apartment. We always had dogs growing up and I really miss them. Will get to work on a color scheme soon! :)

Here are my colour schemes:

Relaxing Pet Days (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=146953&cat=2379)
Playful Pet Days (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=146952&cat=2379)
Rainy Pet Days (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=146951&cat=2379)
Pet Days in the Spring (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=146950&cat=2379)

I am thinking the silver will go with all when it comes to metal elements. I did go back and make a silver tag and added it to the colour page, but it doesn't seem to be to be uploading the new ones into the gallery. It tells me I have sucessfully updated, but the photo doesn't change in the gallery. Oh well...like I said, I think silver elements would look good like on a dog collar ribbon and on dog tags, etc..

I never did color schemes, as i don't know how to do it. But colors i think are needed are the brown, tan, black, and silver for elements like handkl said above.
My dog is mostly black and white, and with your dog colors, i think the tan and brown needed too!! but of course i would like some blue and green like the sky and grass for outside! Then some reds, &/or oranges to brighten things up!

Candee, don't worry too much about the deadline on color schemes; thanks for adding yours. The deadline is for ME - you all really have until I choose, hee hee. And if I ever pick one that was posted past the deadline, I'll give another random winner as well to be nice and fair.
I put a deadline so I know when I've promised to pick. It will be tough this time; I like a lot of them! Thanks everyone!

Oh - and I've used another color scheme out of the gallery, or close enough to it to see that I need to give another set away! I have to check whose it was and I'll be back with that info.

I chose the top half of hoozig's color scheme, seen here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=144742&cat=2379).

The kit will be in the store on the fourth:
