Ok....so Im working on putting some small pictures along the top of my layout. I have transformed the images to the size that I want and moving to the top of the layout. What Im having problems with is moving the picture in the exact spot. If the picture gets too close to the edge of the page or the edge of the layout then it "snaps" back to the original position. Its almost like a magnet is pulling on it and wont let it move a little bit at a time.
Did I describe this well enough? Does anybody have any suggestions on what to do?
Thanks!

yep...un checking the snap to grid will solve that problem...it can be quite annoying when you can't figure it out or move something to exactly where you want it.
yes, it is annoying, when you don't want it, and annoying when it's not on when you do want it, LOL!
check out the view>show>grid or the other options to see all the ways to align and position objects very precisely, especially when needing to rotate something back to straight! Measure tool is good for crooked photos, but I prefer the Snap function when turning something that's already rotated and needs changed back

you can also use your arrows keys to nudge things into place (while in the move tool) and it won't snap. if you don't want to turn it off :)
that's a good point, Amanda; and also the Shift-arrow key to move 10 pixels at a time...or is it 20?
The time it's most irritating, however, is when I'm using a bounding box like Crop or Transform, 'cause then I have to cancel the operation, undo the Snap, then start over, LOL! Wish the arrow keys worked for that...
I set up a keyboard shortcut for Snap because I use it so frequently. And don't forget View>Snap To> one of the object choices
Anyone else have any favorite tricks for this?
