Well, it is coming along. DH leaves Sunday, to start his new job Monday...the 19th. I will be here in CA, with the kids, by myself :( ..... well, really jumping up and down...yee haw. LOL for about a month.
I will start missing him after a few days...amazing how that works. I think I won't miss him, then neither one of us will be able to stop calling the other. :)
Anyway, have wanted to join in some things, but just can't get the 'artistic' notion to do so. I think its the stress of moving..do u think?
We will be leaving CA around the 14th or 15 of May, and will be driving across country. If there is anyone we can meet along the way, let me know. I would love to meet some of you ladies!!! We will be looking for lodging along the way, so the states we visit, if you have any suggestions...hollar my way.
:D
Thanks gals, you are such a great group!
:p

If you go the long way Laura, you could pop in here for coffee!!! lol. I'd put you up for the night too, but alas, I don't think you'll be heading thru canada on your way!!!!!
Is he taking his computer???? Just set up a manniquin in his chair and put on one of the games demos, it'll be like he never left (or that'd be how it is at my house!). If you get bored buzz me, i'm usually up & around until 12 or 1 am!!! (MST). Hugs
Stace.

Okay Margie, sent you an email!!!! :p
Stace, you are so funny!! I would love to visit Canada, I have always wanted to go, but yeah, don't think it will be this trip...LOL. I think that would add another week to our trip, and Brian is only given a week to get us back. LOL
Oh I get the whole manniquin thingy too, but they are allowing him to come back here for the final move and drive with us across country. This company is so much more accomodating than the one he is leaving. Total buttheads they turned out to be. :D All that meant in the nicest way possible...LOL
We will be switching our driving up, even though I hate the way hubby drives, I know that I cannot do ALL the driving. He would be dragging me back in a body bag then (ew, kind of morbid, but oh so true...hehe).
We will have our laptop...so thankful now he bought that. And hoping for that every so often wireless signal along the way. If not, I will see about hooking it up through my cellular phone...see, we are so addicted, I will find a way to get on the net..
Will keep you all aprised of our moves..if you are interested. Maybe I should start a 'net' log of our trip across, like Margie did with her adoption adventures....hmmm...thinking...would anyone really be interested...LOL

Sure sounds like quite a big venture for your family...Very exciting...You need to visit some odd places on your way...like the biggest ball of yarn, and the birth place of the fried pickle....Goofy stuff like that. It'd be cool to see some layouts of your trip....the ba-gillion potty breaks...HOW FUN!!! Enjoy it...cuz hopefully you won't have to do it again :p

Okay, a bit of an update!!!
Hubby leaves tomorrow :(, starts his new job Monday. And we are hoping he can find us place by the time we do the 'final' move, so we don't to stay in corporate housing--or put our stuff in storage. :)
I will definitely be taking lots of pics. I think I may need to get another SD disk for my camera before we leave. I want to make sure I don't miss a thing. And I love to take pics, so it doesn't take long for me to fill em up. At least we will have the laptop with us, so I can transfer the images, but dang...I don't want to have to do it every 30 minutes..hehe. :p
Margie...check you email..sent a couple to you...I know you have lots...:)
Oh Elizabeth...so true on the Potty breaks...maybe I should do some layouts with pics taken from different potties we visit. LOL

Well ladies and gents, I am now down to the wire of my cross country trek back to VA from CA.
The movers finally come tomorrow to pack and then Friday they will load us. We will be staying the night in a local hotel, then heading off into the great yonder of the US saturday.
What a country we live in that we can do this with the only fear being; gas, food, car breaking down or maybe an accident---all I can deal with. Where in other places, they can't even walk out their front doors.
I feel so blessed to have grown up in this country....now I want to experience some of it.
I will take lots and lots and lots of photos. So many you guys will be sick of me scrapping them...LOL.
I know I will miss some things (here at DSP) on my week trip, but hopefully not too much. Being the pcholic I am, we have the laptop and will also be taking one of our desktops. We can't stay in temp housing (corporate) for 30days without at least one desktop PC....we would just die....roflmbo.
Thanks for letting me share!!!

VA...woohoo. Made it back the night of the 19th.
I got to meet Margie; had a blast. Although, she was probably more than happy to get rid of my bunch.....LOL. Five of us invaded her home and the kids of course didn't want to get up in the morning.
It was nice though especially having someone to talk too besides the kids during our trip. And Margie is the PERFECT hostess. Now everyone should go see her.....rofl...okay, you can kick me now Margie!!!
But seriously, had a great time, she has a beautiful old home in Ohio, got some great pics of the kids playing on the tire swing; and my rugrats of course didn't want to leave.
Now in VA, only on dial-up, not in a permanent residence yet (still looking), and longing for HIGH SPEED again. :D
Will post as much as I can, but my little temp desk is extremely uncomfortable.....boohoo....!!
Okay, think I have whined enough. Thanks for all the well wishes, and will chat with you later.
