I was looking at a website that had digital frames available for download, but I'm real suspicious that the quality is not as good as what you guys at DSP produce . I'd like someone's opinion of the digital picture frames png and jpg formats at mangelsdesigns.com. They talk about making them something like 92 dpi for faster download time and then say that your software can resize them LARGER for printing. As far as I know, that means the quality would suffer (because of upsizing to 300 dpi) right? I really like the selection of frames--it's something I have not found anywhere else so I hope you don't mind my mentioning this site so I can get your professional opinion(s) on the products they have.

The majority of these frames (probably all of them) are just scanned images of frames. Looking through them - I think what they are doing is illegal. I looked at the baby frames and found several Disney character ones. I would be leary of using these frames on any pages that would be displayed publically.
If you still want to use them, the do offer some free frames - give them a try to see how they print.

I downloaded one of the free frames from this site - the size when printed at 200ppi was just under 2 inches across and even at that size showed some pixelation - They are fine for web quality layouts but I woudnt want to use them on my printed layouts - just my 2 cents

Although their frames are unusual and look very interesting I'm sure it's probably bogus and not high-quality work (maybe not even legal in some cases). I love the gold and classic frames though! If we had anything of that in high quality it would be great.
