Scrap a New Tradition

I've seen a lot about scrapping your holiday traditions, and I think that's just wonderful, but it got me thinking. (uh-oh, watch out!) What about NEW holiday/family traditions? (Yes, I realize that's a bit of an oxymoron :) ) For myself, I grew up with some wonderful holiday traditions, but when I moved away from home those things had to change. And now that I have my own family and my own home, we are developing our own set of traditions, while trying to incorporate some of the old. So if you're like me, with a new family or perhaps your children have moved out and started their own families, why not scrap some of your new traditions?? Oh, this is a cool idea! Yes, I know what you mean. We stayed pretty close to our regular family traditions until my job moved us to Seattle for four years. But while we were there, we came up with a few of our own. I've always thought I should write them down somewhere, record them for posterity. Now I have a reason! :)

this is a great idea I have a very different tradition since going from spending Christmas with my whole family in Western Australia to sharing Christmas Day with just Donn in Fort Worth Texas

Since I like photography as a hobby, I've started a new Christmas tradition of taking a group photo and a photo of each individual family on Christmas day. When I saw Becky's Ice Storm kit, I knew it was perfect with this photo.
