I made a couple of things for my boy's birthday party yesterday and thought I would share them with you. Nothing fancy but they went down well with the kids.
First I made a "land the rocket on the planet" game (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=150669&cat=500&ppuser=1660) - a variation of pin the tail on the donkey. I painted a big piece of cardboard and stuck a picture of a planet on it from one of my digi kits (I used Kim Liddiard's Rocket Boy series for this (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=advanced_search_result&search_in_description=1&keyword=rocket+boy)). If anyone tries this themselves, I suggest painting the planet on - the kids quickly realised they could feel the edges of my stuck-on planet! I had printed out a rocket for everyone (I recoloured them using Photoshop Elements and added their names), cut them out and put double side tape on the back so that they could stick them to the board. It worked quite well, the kids seemed to enjoy it.
The other thing I did was take photos of each of the children at the party and put them into a rocket and an astronaut suit (both from the kits). I then burned a CD for each of them and popped it into some CD covers I made using a template from DSP (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=150670&cat=500&ppuser=1660) and the Rocket boy kits again.
The invitation was also made using the Rocket Boy kits (can you tell how much I love that series  ). Great boy kits
