graduation.

especially for boys.

it would be easy to make something for a girl, but boys are more difficult.

something cool, edgy, maybe grungy or classic.

something that could be given as a gift and the kid would open it and say, "COOL!"

Great Request!!!! I've got a girl graduation though...so maybe both? But she is pretty artistic so a grungy & edgy would work for her tooo....Although she is way into retro....hmmm is that helpful or just confusing :p

What about military kits?

Lauren
04-22-2004, 03:37 PM
I know all about boys pages being harder - but I have 2 boys so you will see more masculine sets from me - I have done military kits before for other sites but I am sure I can come up with something new there as well!!!!
Keep up with the ideas !!!!! :D

Hi lauren! MMM now let me see........ I would like some hospital/doctor/mishap(bandaid) kits. Bathtub Kits (we all have naked baby photos in the bath) I love all the kits you do with time/heritage themes - i can never have enough!
I would second the Birthday Kits! Animal kits - eg fish/bird - everyone is doing cat and dog! Computer Kits - well we all could have layouts with this theme! A kit that could use those tiny school photos we seem to get but never use!

I will go to bed thinking of ideas.........

Will get back to you

A quilting kit would be wonderful. I know a few quilters that are always telling me I should start quilting and I tell them that digi scrapping IS quilting but with the convenience of "undo" and "delete". Would really like to be able to do some pages for them, though. Quilt squares would make lovely charms and papers with edges made to look like they've been cut with pinking shears would be great.

I would like to see page kits for athletes (not cutesy little kid stuff, rather serious high school and college stuff; kits for travel where time is spent in castles, palaces, museums, ruins, old cities; college life, and theater, drama (again, not cutesy stuff) These themes are even difficult to find in traditional paper scrapbook stores.

I LOVE your style, Lauren!

Heritage/ Vintage Kits and or elements
Since I am trying to turn 35 years of research into scrapbooks this would be great. I'm making some of my own but I'm new to scrapping and I have run out of ideas. I only use naturel colors too so that limits me also.

I second the music/band kits! I have a ds who has been in band for 6 years, 2 to go and a younger ds who is on year 2! There is a sticker sheet for "band nerds" but that is a hated term for band kids. Maybe something that is a little more serious?

Thanks

Ive done a kit called Music maker http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/detail.jsp?itemId=43868&category=19466- it may be too heritage themed for what you are looking for but I am working on a more modern music styled kit - probably be a couple of weeks away.

I'm joining in to vote with the music, band folks. My daughter was in marching band and orchestra in high school. She is also in the orchestra in college.

I'm interested in graduation kits, too, as both my kids have graduated high school, and I haven't done a single layout. Most of the kits/ploppers I have seen have a particular date.

I'll call it the "Bavarian kit" for now. Or in more general terms a travel/historical kit that could be used for Germany/Austria travel. I was thinking of items from their architecture, such as castles and cathedrals, Baroque, Rococco, and other pertinent architecture, and some heavily embellished gold items representing the kinds of things you see in King Ludwig's castles. Rich royal and and classic colors, but also something that represents the cobblestone streets in the cities and towns. Oh, and some of the medieval themes and architecture too.

Don't ask me how this could all come about, lol. Sounds like a tall order to me but a good artist could probably make a pretty versatile kit. THe only thing is I don't know how popular this would be with people--I don't know how many digi scrappers have a few hundred pics of Bavaria and Austria just waiting to be scrapped!

Still taking suggestions? I'm looking for something Star Wars related (obviously nothing with a copyright...just a kit that would go along with some pictures of people in costume...not cheesy - but your work never is!)

Does DSP have anything like this?

OH.....me too...something with scouting...can be generic...just not a lot out there for the girl scouts...just boy scouts....not sure why. I saw a digital kit (forgot to bookmark it...ugh) that used just the colors of scouting because I think the GS has this whole thing about using their logo....I would be fine with that....Thanks!

Kit for the profession of Emergency Medical Technician? And I believe someone mentioned a Nursing kit in chat.

I haven't checked, but what about Fireman? and volunteer fireman. My niece is an EMT and her boyfriend is a Fireman. They both used to be volunteer firepeeps.

Birdwatching kit?

Hot rods - like for the car show cars, where they have their motor up out of the hood and stuff. Bright glossy clearcoat kit, lol. Or racing cars, different but similar.

Out of these I only need the EMT and Fire ones, I just figured I'd toss in some other ideas while I was in the room.

There is such a price cut between printing (outsource, that is) 8 x 8 layouts, which you pay the 8 x 10 price of at $1.99 or so, and the price of having 5 x 7s printed, which I have seen for 39 cents!

Would any of the designers consider making some 5 x 7 mini albums, specifically ABC ones? The word art could be separate like it is on the ABC albums, but the pages could be 5 x 7 pngs. Unless someone has a way of making the 8 x 8 ones into 5 x 7s quickly and easily. I'm off to experiment.

Amanda

All of the ABC kits can be easily cropped down to 5x7. I did a 4x6 with the My Child one last year :)

Z, I reduce the 12x12 bgs to 40% and it fits the 5x7 canvas perfectly. In the Inkster kit I reduce the word art to 30 and change the color from black to white. I've written a script in PSP to do it quickly for me.

My sister is living in India for 8 months and she is keeping a journal and taking LOTS of pictures. I told her that I would put it all together in a scrapbook for her. SO, I'd would just LOVE any sort of kit with an Indian influence. NO idea what that would be though! LOL

I just finished a whole travel album (36 pages ) for my son in 4X6 using mainly the vacations cd resized and a few pages I resized and manipulated from my ' big album' layouts.. I gotta say I am so thrilled with it and my son loves it , I am going to print an extra set for my mum .. and Its so cheap just to put into the photo print store and get printed there and 'save' my gorgeous photo printer for the 'big layouts'

I do have that kit, and it has some great stuff!! I was just looking for additional kits. We have been to three mystery weekends that I am working on the scrapbooks for and I don't want them all to look alike. Thanks for the suggestion!!!

Elisabeth
11-14-2005, 07:00 PM
Becky, what were the themes for the mysteries themselves? I've played in a vampire one (in which you could use the Ghosts and Goblins freebie, or parts of it) and now I'm in a western one. (online Harry Potterized mysteries - yeah, I know the western seems a little far fetched, but Molly yields a muggle gun and Sirius is a hit man).

So maybe you can play on the theme itself (train ride for Orient Express, etc.) and spread your Evidence kit out over all of them.

MeriBeth
11-14-2005, 07:34 PM
How about a "Southern Heritage" or "Confederate" kit? There's lots of military/heritage kits that can be adapted to use with pictures or references to ancestors in the Union army, but nothing really useful for those with Confederate ancestors or who are members of the various Southern History/Heritage groups.

Thanks.

I am so glad I saw this thread. I am so totally in love with your kits Lauren. Your kits are ALL so amazing. You have a true talent.

I actually have a very specific request. I would love to have a kit for milestones. My daughter is about to be 5 years old, which is a very special year. I would love to document her milestones up to this point. Maybe alot of milestone type word art. I would even like to see a nice mini album of this theme.

I didn't read all the posts but I may make this myself...my son is getting married in July 06 and the colors are black and white and red. My soon to be daughter-in-laws favorite color is red. My son even picked out an engagement ring with 2 rubies on either side of her diamond! That's how much she loves red! :o

Hi, I just thought of a kit I haven't seen anywhere.

My son is 3 yrs old now and I have yet to do a baby book.

I am not sure if it would be better to do it as a plopper.. or a kit with all the elements in one. One that asks all the questions of a regular, store bought baby book. about mom, dad, birth, weight, lists of the firsts, etc... Hand prints etc..

I just thought if someone was looking for an idea!!

My teenage son was able to visit Japan for a 10 day school trip and I'd like to scrap his pictures into a special album.

I would love to find a kit with Oriental elements to compliment his pictures of the locations that they visited. But the problem that I've found with kits from other sites is that the elements in their kits are often Chinese or of Chinese symbols. (Personally I wouldn't know the difference....but since he has studied Japanese for 4 years, he does...and this might make a difference to others as well).

I'm sure such a kit would also compliment serene nature photos and pictures of Oriental gardens. And perhaps there are others who have traveled to Japan....that's not unusual for those of us on the west coast....and could use such a kit for their travel pictures.

Thanks!

Hello, I would like to find something abut wildlife, dogs, cats and kits for memorial remembrances for pets. I want to do one for my pets.

Also kits themed on countries will be nice for all of those who are not from USA like me.

And kits related with Army , I only found a plopper in the store related.

And one I'm really interested too is a plopper with a (table for painters, i don't know the word in english, is the tripod of the painters) , example, the idea is this: my father is a painter in his free time and his house is full of paintures and I want to make pictures and put in an album, so I'm thinking if I find a plopper with the tripod and in the tripod a blanck paint where you can put the picture than around the page everything you want related with painture, I don't know if you understand what I'm saying. I want to make the gift for fathers day on 19 march.

Thanks

What type of memorial, just general or something specific?

~sarah~
01-08-2006, 08:21 PM
Hi Valeri

I was thinking of doing one for a dear friend one for a family member and one for a pet. Nothing to specific but perhaps nice wording, maybe angels, a nice simple alpha kind of like the ones you get on gravestones if you get what i mean like an engraved type alpha if that is possible. Something everyone would be able to use really.

Thanks :)

I was wondering if a kit that is for family generations (but not in the heritage style) would be of good use. I'm looking for something like this. Maybe with some soft colours.... Not that I don't like the heritage style, just in need of something different for my pages. Also more wedding and boy kits.

Amanda

A big misconception among digital scrappers is if the kit isnt' specifically for that topic then you can't use it! Sure you can!!! You can make a kit work for you no matter what it is called. Just find a kit with soft colors that you like and go for it!
We have an entire CD of both Wedding and Boy - if you do a search in the store I'm sure you will find something to your taste.

This is a wonderful thread. I just took the DSU160 course with Emma she suggested I post here my desires for new kits. I love the camo page but that is it for military. I need tons more stuff. My son, a marine, is on his second deployment to Iraq and he has been in Afghanistan. He has brought back pictures and wants them scrapped. I started to do it with paper but I really want to do it digitally. I would love it if there were some kits with maps of these two countries. Backgrounds with deserts and desert related flora and fauna. I need background pages with logos from the marines. Each battalion also has its own logo and that would be helpful also. I would also like to request the different chevrons for the enlisted men and the ensignia of the officers. There are medals and ribbons from each of the Iraqi wars and participation in Afghanistan. I would love tanks, helos, airplanes, humvees, and aircraft carriers. I would also like rifles, machine guns, pistols. I realize this is a huge wish list but I have seen this site and I am so impressed by the kits. Opps almost forgot alphabets - how about letters with red and while and blue stripes and camo alphas. Thanks so much for thinking about this wish list.

Hi Lauren,

I don't have any special requests for kits.....I seem to have more goodies than I can use at the moment, but I wanted to tell you how beautiful your kits are! Just this week I purchased Daisy Dreams, Hardout, Morning Glory, Pacific Paradise and Pansy Pizzaz. My preferences lean to the aged, grungy, heritage, heavily textured and finely detailed kits. Your embellishments are just exquisite and so realistic. They are quite unique and you put the kits together so beautifully!!!! I have only been doing digital scrapping since last fall (previously a traditional scrapper) and I have completed over 100 layouts already and I'm now into designing many of my papers and simple embellishments of my own......which makes me appreciate the intricate artwork of your kits! Thank you.....and keep them coming. I added some more of your things to my Cart tonight. Even when I 'm sure I've seen everything the store has to offer, I come across things I haven't seen before...like the Daisy Dreams Add-On kit and the Barn kits.....

I don't really have a theme as I prefer something more general.. But I have a color request.. What about something in soft white/ivory/cream? A cloudy/dreamy sort of background, silver brush (not sure if this is the correct term) frame, some silver hardware - charms, etc, white roses, baby's breath. silver stitches, silver netting, delicate floral borders, cut-out floral borders (not sure if you understand this), lace mat, those little square embellishments with silver border & stamped flowers, etc... Everything delicate, nothing "heavy".. Something that can be used for both special events and general pics.. Thanks!

Judyy
03-27-2006, 11:54 AM
Not exactly a kit request, but how about some edgy-looking hand-stitching? We're seeing so much great stitching in the store now, but most of it has a machine-stitched look. It's all wonderfully done, and quite intricate and beautiful, but for grungy layouts, sometimes I'd like some stitching that looks like I just grabbed a dull needle, some thick, grubby thread, and went to town: parallel stitches, some not as straight as others, an occasional knot maybe; or some blanket stitching. That would be cool.

honeymoon
04-03-2006, 06:11 AM
Adding to Judyy's request above. I really love the elements in the quilting kits that you designed. However, rather than a quilter I'm a sewer and wondered if you would be able to design a sewing/tailoring kit.

Ideas for kit:
- a tailors dummy (old rather than modern with wooden stand)
- sewing pattern pieces (tissue paper so would be great for journalling on)
- sewing pattern packet (great place to add photos of the garments made)
- treadle Singer sewing machine with a wood cabinet with 3 drawers either side (add's a heritage element to the kit)
- different types of seams as "ribbons" eg French Felled, Overlocked, Zigzaged
- elastic (great to stretch over a page to hold things on)
- little gold & silver safety pin's
- Backgrounds of Interfacing, satin lining, tissue

Starting to become a very long list...see what happens when you go to Gimme More chats...you become inspired by what a great designer can do with a few ideas.

Hi Lauren,

I would love to have a christian kit containing christian items as : pictures of beautiful old (european) christian art (the things you see when you go to Florence-Italy), old (celtic) Bibles with monograms, beautyfull glass of church windows etc.
I sometimes make a L.O that fits the sermon and is beamed during the service, so thats why.
I've seen the freebie of Stacey Jewell of 4 april and that's a nice start, Maybe she can make some more??

Dear Lauren-
Hope you are feeling better. I love your kits, and am proud to say I have purchased and completed more than 3 dozen sheets thanks to your handywork. Would love to see any zodiac signs, (simple symbol types) wanted to do a few pages on people in the family and how their sign suits them, particularly pisces and gemini. For all my travel pages it would be great to have some country flags from the different nations & as always, anything equestrian, Virginians are big on horse back riding and showing, and I wanted to do an album on my daughters life with horses.

I know this request is going to sound a bit "off-the-wall" to some, but here goes...How about a "Celebration of Life" type of kit(s) geared toward a lost loved one that includes word art, ploppers, angel papers, and elements. As some of you may know, our 23-year-old son-in-law passed away in a firey auto crash in January and I've been working on an album for my daughter and his babies. I'd love some fresh, new inspirations in design that was befitting to celebrating his life, and yet at the same time need some more somber, peaceful kits as well...kits where you can just "FEEL" the love.

My daughter is losing her first tooth. I have been on the search for a toothfairy kit and have found about 3 in various places. -I would have though there would be a lot more! I haven't taken a fancy to any of the ones I have found so far.

I would love a toothfairy kit that could be for boys or girls. It would have lots of tooth related elements, maybe a little tooth on a pillow or shaker box you could place a tooth behind. Maybe some coins to scatter about. Some papers with stars and maybe some star elements and a moon to move around (since the tooth fairy comes at night of course, LOL). Lots of blues, dark purple, throw in some brighter complimentary colors. Of course you need ribbons and maybe some little colorful candies just for fun.

Was that a little too specific, LOL?

My grandson is nuts about firemen and fire engines! And yellow ones (he says lellow) are his favorites...but red will do. Tomorrow is his 3rd birthday party being celebrated with a few other boys at the local fire station! Grammy (that's me) will be there Nikon D70 in hand, but would love some tasteful accents for documenting his special day. Oh, Bob the Builder is real big, too. He's definitely all boy! Oh, my husband's grandfather was the fire chief for about 40 years. So there is heritage there as well.

I can't imagine I'll ever use up all the kits that I keep purchasing...I think collecting digital kits is my new passion!

I'm most interested in unique elements...I haven't seen any related to knitting. Seems that I've heard a few others (in chat) mention some of these...
Knitting needles....regular metal ones would be fine, but wooden and/or ivory ones would be terrific!
Baskets....especially baskets of yarn
Balls of yarn, skeins of yarn
Crochet hooks...for those that aren't knitters, or who do both
...perhaps some crocheted doilies for background use.

I'd also love a spinning wheel or two or three....for those of us who make our own yarn.
And along that same line, maybe a sheep or two?

I will take a look and try to come up with specific requests for addons to the kit, like we do in the Gimme chats! Hopefully others will chime in with suggestions too!

Good Morning everyone..and Happy Mothers day!

I just took the plunge yesterday into digital scrapbooking. I finally went to sleep at 4:30am. (I've asked to be banned from here too)

Now on to requests - guess there is no 12 step program for this, eh?

I have hunted and looked all over the net for a classic car/race car (#3 & #8) NASCAR set ..and there are none to be found.

Please if anyone knows of a set that would fit the description listed above..please email me..I'm afraid to come back here.

Me again, just read Sheri's request. My son is crazy about cars, even though we are in Aus he likes NASCAR too and some guy called Dale Ernhardt Jnr! Also any Aus v8 series cars and Formula 1. Or elements that can be used for any sort of motor racing layout.

How about an oriental style kit? Something like an Arabian Nights Page Kit or anything Eastern, even something Japanese would be lovely! You could probably include a painted screen or background and a nice paper fan... with perhaps chopsticks and sushi thrown in. Lol. I know those are difficult to create, but for you nothing is impossible. And for the Arabian Nights Kit, perhaps a tarnished bronze lamp, a hookah and a sequined veil or something? That would be fantastic!

I think I already asked for this, but maybe I didn't post it on the board. I am looking to get a karate kit. with Korean symbol charms (maybe). all the different belt colors could make good ribbons. I have alot of ideas for this kit, so if it ever comes on the table... :)

I have sooo many karate pictures adding up in my folders. :)

Oh, and on good news.. my dd is going up for her orange belt in two weeks.

YES YES YES Shintze! I plan on going to Lisa's build a kit chat tonight at 10 PM EST, and I think that is what I'm going to request....a kit for scrapper to use in scrapping ABOUT being a scrapper. You're right, it has been mentioned before, but thanks for the reminder!!!

I was wondering if there is a mermaid type kit. What I wanted to do is put a body in a mermaid bottom half element with lots of shiny scales! And add all sorts of bling, like shells and starfish and pearls and gems and coral and sequins, and swirly things and... and.... and..... :)

I second the knitting kit request (crochet hooks too!). Another obsession run amok here - yarn, yarn, and more yarn plus half finished projects. Maybe if I could scrap the progress, I might finish a few. Maybe...

Yarn, paper, digital scrapping kits ... I am such a collector!

On edit - is there a "collecting/obsession" kit? I could use one of those as well. And a kit centered around video games or computer games might be fun since my kids are totally addicted.

I don't have the eye-energy right now to read 12 pages of posts so maybe someone has already mentioned this..

Anyway, my biggest difficulty in purchasing or downloading any products from DSP is that it just seems to me that that massive majority of stuff here is for scrapping CHILDREN. Babies, toddlers, school-kids, grandkids, etc etc.

For those people who do not have a baby, toddler, school-aged kid, grandchild, neice, or nephew.....well, it limits the amount of items available for purchase. I'd love some items that were aimed for adults who hang out with other adults and don't always want "pretty" layouts, but more "funky" stuff; perhaps some more in the travel section? Or something for someone who's living more of a "----in-the-City" lifestyle... rather than an "Oprah" one? :o

I would also love to see some kits that are mainly elements, and not necessarily related to one another -- but I'm sick of very dainty pretty pink ribbons! I mean, I think they are amazing that people can create them, but there are so many out there already....I'd just like to see some different things.

plattwaz,

I understand what you are saying, and it is totally valid. I, for one, am a bit tired of pale and muted and most things heritage, although I reserve the right to change my mind if I see something I like. The designers here actually create in a wide range of styles, and you may be pleasantly surprised if you take some time to explore the store. I know it is a daunting task since there is so much to look at, and it can feel very overwhelming.

Unfortunately for you, most of us do have kids, grandkids, nieces, and/or nephews. So, the market is there for kid-centric kits. Having said that, I think you can find funky stuff even if the kit is geared toward kids. Case in point, Teens Love Page Kit (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1765) The color scheme is dark blue/white primarily, but I have used it recolored. Another thing to consider is the Scraps of Style - Retro CD (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_6_29&products_id=2351) The page kits on this CD are most definitely not baby-oriented. I love most of the kits on this CD (I got the downloadable version because I love instant gratification.), and I have used them in bits and pieces several times now. There are several other CDs that might suit your needs, most if not all of which are downloadable.

There are also several element collections in the store - you can find them by choosing "Downloads" under "Categories" and then clicking on "Embellishment Sets". THere are a number of interesting sets that are not at all "cutesy". You can also search for "brad" or whatever. Your search will bring up kits that contain that type of element, so you may need ot be more specific. If you have time, experiment and see what you turn up.

Also consider some ot the heritage-style kits. They aren't funky per se, but they aren't generally frilly either. And don't overlook the kid-oriented kits completely. You may find that some of these kits are actually quite versatile. I think it helps if you don't think of the kit as a whole, but think of it as a bunch of pieces that can be mixed and matched with other things. And don't forget that you can always recolor something if you like the style, but not the color.

If you have any questions or would like some ideas on other kits, feel free to PM me. I am happy to share my experience with you. And I am always happy to help out in any way.

I would love a kit based around feeding the ducks. I've looked and there isn't any and I have some lovely duck photos :) Maybe with a web feet theme and an element of a line of ducks in silhouette, a nice ribbon with 'quack quack quack' written along it, things like that. Just tossing ideas in here! I know what I want I just don't have the skill to do it myself LOL

wow scraphags. that is a great post! :)

I just wanted to add alot of times I buy whole kits for one particulare paper or element that I really love and HAVE to have. You really can use ANY kit for ANY layout. It just depends on you. Bethy (I think) just ran a challenge recently to use masculine kits for a femininie layout and visa versa. It was a fun way to think outside the box. You don't have to use the kit for the "theme" the kit is made. You can always recolor them and mix and match with other kits. There are SOOO many amazingly generic kits in the store.

Anyway, enough rambling. :)

I came to suggest a karate kit. I was also thinking is there a pool players kit? I have a friend who loves to shoot pool. I am trying to lure his wife into digi scrapping, lol. She asked me did I know of one, but I didn't find one in the store.

Video Gamers kit

black velvet and roses kit :)

orange/yellow something kit :) (generic grunge would be cool)

what about a paper pack set with different inspirational words all over the papers

Hmm. I was thinking I would love to have all kinds of easy to fill shapes. Not with depth to them like the chips, but more intricate shape to be used as masks that can be selected and filled with either a color or a paper. For example. I would love to have leaf shapes, perhaps with the veins left as open space...and flower shapes that can be filled. Hmm. I can also see that stitches would be cool too. If they were done in solid black, they would be easy to select and change to any color you wanted. Maybe some Quick Click edge overlays. Most edge overlays are not terribly easy to change the color because of the gradations of black to gray. If they were done as a series of quick click templates, they could be a rough, but solid solor that could easily be changed to any color, or even filled with a paper for a funky look....and then layered together to form the edge overlay of your dreams....in the correct gradation...if that makes sense. Those are a few of my ideas!

I don't know if "seconding" a suggestion helps at all, but I would like this kind of a template set too! I'm a part-time scrapper since darn work keeps tiring me out - (I don't know how you guys with kids do it since I understand that's even more work!). How about a kit with colors, textures, and embellishments that play off of art from a certain era. Something classic and timeless that could be used for travel/vacation, nauture, everyday, and art themed pages, as well as heritage, wedding, etc...

You could do a series of kits that deal with different eras and styles of art like pop art, impressionism, abstract, surrealism, renaissance. You could incorporate different cultures like Celtic, Asian, or African art.

For instance, one of my favorite artists is JW Waterhouse he is considered a Pre-Raphaelite or NeoClassic: http://www.jwwaterhouse.com/

Here is a link to a color scheme/inspriational idea that I had:
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=130273&cat=500&ppuser=67060
I love these colors and this style of painting, but I don't think that a kit made from it would neccesarily have to be onle sea themed.

Just an idea....

If you have a program where you can make your own elements I don't imagine poker chips would be too awful hard to do. Some nice intelligent soul around here is bound to help. Green table felt can definitely be made with PSE4 or Photoshop..............

Oooh! Thanks for the heads up. I will have to check the kits out. Making my own elements? There's a thought! (duh, why didn't I think of that? Must be the peroxide again.)

There are a ton of people involved in the poker craze. My husband,father-in-law and mother-in-law are really into playing Texas Hold'em. It would be neat to have a page kit with this theme. Poker chips, playing cards, green table felt; hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs... oh my.

I know this isn't exactly what you want, but there's Kim Liddiard's Trump page kit
http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1488
and Marcee Duggar has card sets. Here is the link to hearts
http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2153
Lisa Carter's Let's Play papers have the right black and white game feel
http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3264

For the poker chips, I sometimes scan or photograph items I want to add or maybe find a graphic on the web, like Amazon.

I've seen a couple of requests for video games. I'm looking for something like a "Die Hard Gamer" - my DS (who's only 5) is really getting into video games (PS2) and gets obsessed with trying to finish all of the levels in the game (hard to do with only 1 hour a day though). I've taken some pictures of him playing his first game and want to emphasize how this game had taken over his thoughts - comes up in his everyday discussions and art at school (he's now moved on to another game with the same obsession.
I would like to see a kit with elements of a controller, tv, system player, etc (not sure if these things would be copyrighted). Is anybody working on this type of kit - or any suggestions?

I have mentioned this in some chats recently and just now seen this thread!! Here is my wish for a kit!! LOL

I am in need of a kit that contains RED tractors!!! My sons' middle name is Case and everyone thinks he is named after Case tractors, LOL. So now needless to say at 19 months old he has quite an extensive Case tractor collection! I would LOVE to have elements that relate to farming; corn, wheat, twigs, barn, hay wagon, and of course RED tractors!! Any takers on designing a kit?? Thank you so much for your consideration!! DTSandy, as long as that video game fetish stays healthy, you can turn it into something good by urging him to learn the makings behind it as he gets older...............there are some very very lucrative careers in gaming......:)

Since it seems (in this area of the country at least) interest in culinary arts is on the rise - a chef/kitchen theme would be nice. (of course, I am a bit partial) =)

I would love to see a generic charm selection in silver and gold, charms such as you would attach to a charm bracelet or hang from your bag or mobile phone, just like you buy at the jewellers shop (teddy bears, flowers, shoes, hearts, sunglasses, animals, etc). There are lots of lovely ones included in specific kits (such as Winter wonderland by Meryl Bartho), I love the little flip flop footwear charm in Meryl's Rockpool kit (we call them thongs in Aus), Elizabeth has a Family Charms kit out and there are other kits with several charms in them specific to the theme of that particular kit, but I would like a set that is not specific to any theme or style. Not necessarily with any background papers or anything, just the charms with a link attached and maybe a separate link that I could make into any length chain I needed.

Any takers, designers?

Oh, I second the charm idea Jill! I can think of all sorts of charms too...celestial, shopping, hearts, stars, crosses, baby items, zodiac signs, numbers, alphas, etc. I would also like a few different types of charm holders to hang the charms from....like the kind of charm holder you might wear on a necklace.

Hi! I have searched a lot of websites. There was not one kit for a pastry chef. One paper should have Sample Sunday on it. We bake all kinds of pastries. Our pasty chef is leaving, so I wanted to do a scrapbook page for him. We'll miss him a lot.

Thanks!

I've seen where people put pictures in letters. I'm not sure where, but you can only do certain words, like mother, father, pool, fun, etc. What about doing separate letters where we can put pictures in the letters?

I didn't see my other post show up. So it might get posted twice.

What about kits for different football teams? Like the New Orleans Saints, etc?

Thanks!

Elaine

I would like a quickclick template for making tags. I was hoping there could be tags in several shapes and sizes that could be filled like other quickclicks and then additional layers to provide distressed edges and other decorative touches. Maybe a layer with chains, strings, etc. to hang the tags. Is there such a product in the DSP store?

Lauren

No nothing exactly like this - it wouldnt be practical to do layers with strings as these need to be created elements rather than pasted in papers but certainly some designer might make a tag template set

elaine - you could do this yourself. Here's a thread for a current challenge Stacey is running to make a christmas card using photos inside the words, and the chat transcript gives instructions:

http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19761

Also, you could do this with a lot of different alphas - Lauren has a lot of chipboard alphas that are made to be filled with your own papers - you could do pictures just as easily. Suzanne has at least one chipboard alpha as well. Just go to the store and search "chipboard".

I don't think any of the designers can do anything with sports teams, as those would be copyrighted brands.

Yes, Yes! Please more CDAlbum kits. Can be generic but travel, friends, family would also be good... Even a set of open-ended templates would be fine. I made one as a bday present for a friend and it was the best present ever.

If you all haven't tried them, they are pretty quick and are spectacular when presented in the round CD tins. I printed cover on stickyback 6X6 paper and glued to the cover. it was a real HIT.

How's about dome nice doggy-related pages? I can only find one WordArt product, but perhaps it's me not looking properly? I want to do a doggy kit myself when I get the time!

Thanx Jenilyn - I just pm'ed her to ask about it as it has no download link on it.
I do want to make one of my own too, but I haven't the time at the mo because I'm
just in the process of editing, printing and 'albuming' all of my son's wedding photos from last week. I took WAY too many...! (LOL!)
