Golly what happens to the days!? I tell you, time is flying!

This week, I would love to see you play around with plumes and frames and a very dramatic, graphic look. Lots of open space. You may use anything from the following list of products (though ONLY these products, please - no double duty with other challenges to keep a very pure style with your layout). And, yes, I'm intentionally leaving this super-wide-open for interpretation.... I want to see you stretch yourselves with a BAM WOW DRAMATIC look.

Post a link to your finished layout here in this thread, and you'll be eligible for the posting bonus! :)

Challenge ends Sunday 12/17/06 at Midnight EST.

Oh Suz, I have to say that first one (of the teeny tiny baby) ...makes me want one more  ....

You know what I just realized? (Okay for you who have done this and gotten it from the start .... just bear with me, I am having a crystal clear moment here...) That to fandango is to tell the story with the pictures ... well, never mind, I have an idea and I may have to go ahead and do it since it is soooo in my head right now....

Here is mine, http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=151242&cat=2943

Yeah, quick again, I know. But the QC really inspired me. I don't know if this is a good example of fandango, and now I remember Suz wanted white space and lots of it. So I may have to do another one .... oh well!
I had to scrap this one.

Okay I went to look at the examples, and I so did not do the challenge, but I do like what I did with this one. So I will do another one.

Ok, so humour me a minute, when you say nothing else - do you mean if we want to use those gorgeous overlays for example we could not use a paper under them or alphas / wordart with them? If not can we create a background, or word art or colour them?

OK I should know the rules but I am fairly new to this thread and love it so trying to get it right - thanks - love the challenge - great pieces to work with too.

Toni, I just love reading your posts - you always make me smile!!! Yes, you can use a paper under the overlays..... My hope is that your layout will focus on the photo telling the story, and on making a BAM impact, which was why I want you to use as little as possible. Does that make any sense? In a way, it's kind of anti-freestyle, though freestyle can incorproate a ton of white space....... Anywhoooooo I ramble. Is that any clearer?? I am SO glad you're here!!!

Another from me, this time with the Story w/pics album.

p1

p2
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=151314&cat=500&ppuser=44506

I tried to put the 2 pages together, but they were incredibly fuzzy that way, so I just did them separate.

Lovely album Suz, I'm sure I'll use this one tons!

Here's mine called Rarotongan Romance (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=151449&cat=500&ppuser=64671) using the Plume overlay set. It feels a bit like cheating, Suzanne has done the hard work for me - but a lovely clean simple result. I still have to go back and delete all the nick nacks I added before I save - but I am getting better at this clean space thingy

http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=151471&cat=2943

I know, I know we are NOT supposed to do double duty. I will TRY to get another one in. I wanted the JOURNALING ot be the focus. I need to get more pictures to get one where the PICTURE tells the story.

Okay, here is my second attempt - which I KNOW I did the challenge THIS time, lol - I simply used one of the pages from the A Story in Photos album! Ha! So there! :D
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=151524&cat=2943
Actually I have to say I really like that album - due to it being freestylish, you can embellish as you like, but it is laid out for you...a very quick album that is easy to personalize also. A great combo!

Well, I don't normally participate in the Fandango, I usually watch from afar. However, as I'd bought the plume overlays I figured I'd give it a go. So here's mine using the plumes.
http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=152085&cat=2943

I initially started with something different that got totally sidetracked and doesn't count for this challenge but I think it's maybe a bit Fandangoish and that I'm quite proud of anyway.

Well, it was a long afternoon of mall shopping with dd. And the mall was sooooo over-heated, like they thought it was winter or something, despite the 50 deg. F temps we've been enjoying.

So, after shopping 'til we dropped, I finally got my LO done:
Attitude (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=152145&cat=2943)

I love this photo, and the title says it all. And if it doesn't, the journaling does. And if that doesn't do it for you, then the photo will.

And if that isn't too circular to follow then you haven't been at the mall enough!!!
