Fandango Challenge 12/18-24 - YOU PICK

Okay................ I have been sitting here all afternoon trying to come up with a challenge for you for this week, and I'm drawing a COMPLETE BLANK!

So. The first person to respond gets to pick the challenge for this week!!! The bonus is a sweet BackPack, and whoever picks the challenge gets another (ahem, FONT) bonus for helping a stucksuz...! :)

Since the holiday season is upon us, how about a togetherness themed challenge? Even if we aren't physically together, we can be bound by emotions, especially this time of the year.

I was thinking along the lines of scraping about how family is together even though we may be apart - more the spiritual togetherness. Across the miles sort of thing - or even over time - maybe old family pictures from when we were together as youngsters and pictures that represent now even though we may be apart as adults with families of our own showing a connection somehow. A really loose idea ;)

How about this:

Complete a layout featuring a story of togetherness - family togetherness, however you conceptualize that... Focus on a freestyle use of FONTS!!! Use them creatively (maybe more than one, or some cool combination, maybe your own handwriting, whatever you think).

And how co-incidental is it that KYDEB gets a font for helping create this challenge?! LOL! You get one that's not in the store yet - I just finished it last night! Email me at suzanne@dsplace, kydeb, and I'll send it out to you! :)

Post your completed layout before Christmas eve at midnight, post a link here in this thread. I'll send out the bonus (hopefully) sometime Monday, perhaps Tuesday if things are crazy around here. :) :)

I got so enthused about using the new papers and alpha that I had been making today for the challenge and getting down my thoughts on togetherness (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=152278&cat=2943) that it didn't end up very freestyle did it - if I can before I head away for xmas I'll have a go at adapting to the style, otherwise ladies it is an extremely free interpretation of a freestyle idea overpowered by a desire to use my new nick nacks.

This is my first challenge on DSP, so I hope my LO is acceptable. I wanted to use some of Suzanne's papers for her challenge & ended up with an unusual LO. I was trying for "outside the box", but I may have gone wayyyy outside the box. :rolleyes:

I wanted to get this done ASAP because I love the Orange Crush papers. I'm usually not into oranges, but they remind me of... well... a yummy Orange Crush that I used to buy in FL. :D
