Hello-
I'm BRAND new to digital scrapbooking. I've been scrapping the 'old fashioned' way for years now, but just recently decided to try digital. I'm hooked already. I haven't had any classes or tutorials, or anything, so I'm basically trying to teach myself. So, sorry if this is a stupid question, but here goes.....what do you print your layouts on? Do you have them printed professionally? If you print them at home, do you print them on cardstock? Or photo paper? ???? Also...I'm using PrintShop Deluxe Version 22....I don't see much talk about this program, but it seems to be working for me. However, it saves my files as .sbp and I can't upload that file anywhere to share my work. Any ideas/suggestions on this? Thanks for any help! Love this site, btw!!!!

Im not familiar with Print Shop but as long as it supports transparent PNGs and can produce a high resolution file then you should be fine - you will need to export as a jpg or some other universal file format to print elsewhere . Personally I print at home 8x8 on high quality gloss photo paper

It worked! Thank you so much for your reply! I don't know why I didn't think to try exporting....I'll learn eventually! lol...I'm off to upload my layouts to my gallery now. :) Thanks again!

Hi Jenn, I use matte photo paper to print on, I try to use a thick one if possible. I cant always get it here, the one I have at the moment is Kodak 165gsm but I prefer the 190 or more. Usually you get the best results using the same brand as your printer. Like epson or canon papers with their printers. I have an epson printer and the matte kodak is good with it but the glossy kodak is awful. I print my layouts 8x8. Then put them in scrapping albums. :)

Sorry to jump in, its just I wanted to share that I appreciate this thread! I was wondering how to print and its nice to know people do the 8x8 size and not always 12x12 (like I am so stuck on doing in paper scrapbooking!) Now I know i can print out my own pages without having them printed elsewhere!

Welcome Jenn!!!

I print 8x8 at home on Glossy photo stock. I also send out my 12x12 to be printed professionally. Those come back on a glossy card stock.

Same as Samara, only I use soft gloss paper at home. :)
