Optional Challenge for Christmas week

We wont be having a chat between Christmas and New Year - so you have 2 weeks for the following challenge.
Create a layout using the following kits -

Tuscan Red Alphabet - http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3937
Tuscan Gold Alphabet - http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=3940

I will chose 12 layouts and create an instant album from the design - the 12 chosen will receive the album free
I will choose 1 or 2 layouts and create ploppers from them and they will be a posting bonus for all who participate.

Layouts should be 12x12 and alternatively 6x4 - ( you may do as many or as few layouts as you desire and you have 2 weeks to do them .
Last date for posting is January 4
Please post to the Gimme gallery.

Keep your layout theme as generic as possible - please do use photos in your layouts - I want you to be scrapping your own photos at the same time as participating in the challenge.
You may use other items in the layout but they must be created by me so that I can include them in the instant album should your design be chosen.

What does "alternatively 6 x 4" mean, please?

6x4 is a measurement in inches. This is a standard photo size and so any pages you create can be printed off like photos and put in little albums.

The 6x4 would be a different layout to the 12x12. So we could end up with two different sized albums or ploppers.

I'm doing 6x4 albums now, for gifts. I love them because my little Epson does it perfectly, so it's a "nobrainer" for me to print.

Great idea!!!

When I scrap something like a 4x6 from scratch, I usually scrap in 8x12 and resize when I'm done. I find it easier to use kit elements at the "normal" size and then size down before printing. Just a bit of info learned the hard way. ;-)

Linda, how true that is! Resizing is better AFTERWARDS! I am a 'resize challenged' kind of person anyway....lol

Oh, I forgot to post my question! On one layout, can we use both kits (Tuscan AND Renaissance) or does Lauren prefer to keep them 'pure' - since most albums are done using strictly one kit (or series)?
And one thing I would like her to consider for an album would be the Gypsy series - how beautiful are they?????:yes:

Got my purchase of the stuff I didn't have last night right before midnight. Very lucky for me that I couldn't sleep.

I love the colors, and I am SOOOOO sick of Christmas red and green today. Just get tired of the same sometimes.

Doesn't matter if it's too late for prizes or freebies. It's my family, and that's the important part. But, in case you are wondering, it is 4x6 (ok, I made it in 8x12 because I'm terrible with resizing elements.) I actually added a border above and below and printed as a 5x7 for our Christmas card. Two to a page woeked great, and it turned out well and was liked by all, except DD who HATES pix of herself these days. She is SOOO a teenager.
