Is there a tutorial somewhere, or can someone help me to learn how to design Word Art? Also, some of the fonts I downloaded are filled in with a texture. I guess they don't come that way, right? How do you get your fonts into your program once you've downloaded them? How do you fill them with the colors and designs?
Thank You!
Robin, what program do you work in?
Here (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/wordart01.shtml) is a tutorial that I did on making word art.

Tina,
I love your quick class on word art. Mine doesn't look as good because I can't find the beautiful font. I did google searches, no luck........can you help me out and tell me where I can find it? Thanks..............lauri
I love that tutorial, and so awesome that you did the generic version for multiple programs to use!
Finding fonts is fun and addicting. Some of my favorite sites are
1001fonts.com
dafont.com
acidfonts.com
scrapvillage.com
fontfinder.ws
the last one has a search field to type the name in, then gives other web sites where one can find it.
Beautiful ES is a clone of Bickham Script and is found here

In my Introduction classes I have a section on downloading and installing fonts, as well as tons of other scrapping info, about 160 pages (is it a class, is it a book?)
I remember my first try at creative typography, it looked like a ransom note! Was fun to do and fun to learn, but took forever and required a lot of thinking and font surfing. It's much easier now with practice.
Good luck!
