I think my kids x-ed out of all my pallette directories that come up every time you start a new project. For the life of me, I cannot find how you get those all important layer pallettes, history pallettes, etc. to come back up for me.
I can't even tell which layer I am working on and it is really a drag!
Thanks for helping this - obviously - still newbie!

Ooops! I swear that I have looked there before, but I finally found my own answer in the Workspace spot!
Doesn't it always seem like when you are completely convinced that you will never figure things out that the answer mysteriously appears?? Hmmm. What IS up with that??

Denise - I understand THAT. There are way too many times I have posted on here asking for help with something after working HOURS to understand/find it and as soon as I post THERE it is! LOL!!
Glad you figured it out! :)

I would recommending creating a workspace that suite your needs (having only the windows open you need, etc) and save that as a workspace in your own name. then when you loose some of the palletes again, you just have to go to the workspace that is in your name, click on it and it will go back the way you want it

I have only 1 palette window open for space reasons, but in that 1 window I place all the palettes that I use. See mine here http://www.bikersaloon.com/images/layers_pallette.jpg All you need to do for that is open each individual palette and drag then all into one. Then if it still gets in the way just press the shortcut key F7 to hide and unhide it. Try it.
