Comment Challenge for January [Archive]

I had so much fun doing the last comment challenge with Bethy, and since there were requests to do it monthly, here we are!! Every month there will be a Comment Challenge, with random prizes handed out throughout the month, and a grand prize (or two...;)) at the end!!! :yahoo: You guys are such great commenters, (what did Liz call you?..."Comment Taters"!) let's continue to spread the love around!! I'm so stoked, there have been so many wonderful inspiring comments to go with all the awesome inspiring layouts the last couple weeks!!

A few rules, I think. :think: In order to qualify for the random drawings you must -

1. Make some comments, however you wish to, on however many layouts you want using whatever system you like. (I'm a toughie, aren't I?) ;) Then come post here that you've done so! You may post as often every day as you want, each time you do a batch of comments.

2. Nominate someone!! This you can do once a day, using a single post, although you may nominate as many members as you like at one time.

There, that wasn't so bad, was it? :lol: Now, get out there and HAPPY COMMENTING!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I am totally thrilled that this is going to be a monthly challenge. Random giveaways are a lovely bonus, but not necessary to keep this thread fun. I really enjoyed the last one, just staying in touch and keeping the layout comments flowing! This challenge works perfectly with Cybergram's daily "Feed the Hungry Layouts" thread. They are wonderful ways to gracefully "ask" for comments on your pages and also give yourself a pat on the back for the wonderful job you've done commenting on layouts!!! It's also nice to give recognition to comments and or commenters who have really made your day!!!

I'd like to nominate the following dsp "Comment Tater" for her comment on my layout in this round of the DET Bootcamp... frachioni. She always leaves such nice comments which make you feel she appreciated seeing the layout and she has a nice way of adding constructive criticism when asked. Thanks!

I'd also like to ask anyone who's looking to do some commenting to take time to drop by the DET Bootcamp Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1371) and give the layouts there a comment and some cc if you're so inclined. (Shamelessly plugging the Bootcamp.... I'm hosting this round of the challenge... LOL... and trying to get it going strong! Everyone's welcome to play!)

I've commented on all the Bootcamp layouts today as well as several random layouts. I agree with sandy, this is a great thread... prizes and giveaways or not! Glad we're having this thread again... thanks Becky!

Good Morning... I've been out hunting layouts with no comments and have found several and commented on them... now it's off to the gym for day 3 of my new year's resolution keeping!:rolleyes: My kids are back to school today so I'm going to do some more commenting later.

Hi all, I have been randomly commenting today, the house is falling down around me, don't know what to make for dinner which is just an hour away, Stormy has her legs crossed but I have been commenting:hug: :hug: :hug:

The layouts just keep getting better & the Trendsetter Gallery is totally awesome, what artistic, creative, talented people we have here, wow:clap: :clap:

Oh, I'm so glad to see this keep going! I go in spurts with my comments, sometimes doing several, sometimes not so much. This will help keep me going. I know how much it means to ME to read nice comments, I'm sure everyone else loves them just as much.

Yes, I did recolor the kit to match the girls outfits and to tell you the truth I carry my camera in my diaper bag as the movie thing was a last minute decision. I didn't even know the movie times just took a chance and I also wasn't sure they'd sit through a movie but they did and I was very proud of them.

Whoa....I was comment crazy today, but I think I am caught up fairly well. Did a total of about 70 gallery comments today (well today meaning from mid-day Weds through 3:30 AM Thurs). Commented on 22 new LOs in the DET gallery, 12 new ones in the Trend Setter gallery, 20 in the Daily Feed the hungry thread, 11 in the Heritage gallery and about 5 in the MCDT gallery. There may have been a few more, but I forget....oh yeah...and I also did a page but didn't have time to link it in the feed me gallery...LOLOL

LOLOL...I am guessing the "days" are determined by EST, and I see your earlier post at 11 PM-ish on Weds and your later post at 5 AM-ish on Thurs. So while both are posted on Thurs where YOU are, they are on different days here in the eastern US. But I say....jump in and nominate away....LOLOL.

Just got back from doing random comments in the main gallery. Can I just say WOW!

As for my nomination today I am going to nominate my sweet husband because he took our 2 yr old to the driver's license place to renew his driver's license, since I am sick and he wanted me to rest.

Well, I have been busy all day commenting. I finished my comments for the Trendsetter Challenge and what wonderful layouts there are. I also did some commenting for the IOTW and even more terrific layouts! I think I hit 2500 postings too as of today, so my wrist needs some rest and relaxation, but I'm hooked again - commenting really makes you feel good!!

I commented in the Holy Smokes forum this afternoon. I tried to be nice, but the more I see it, the more I hate the blue and yellow. I live in an RV and travel all over the place so change is a way of life for me but I don't think I'm going to get used to this change. I like the classier look DSP used to have.

dazzedd - I agree with you on your comment. I found myself commenting but then getting nothing done. My goal is to beat last years page totals so I must SCRAP SCRAP SCRAP. My total last year was 400 pages. I'm at a whipping 11 pages now. It's so sad when January pops around and my total goes to ZERO

I want to start by congratulating all the recent random winners. I'm sorry I've been so busy that I haven't been able to come in and leave my individual congrats and props to those that were chosen.

Second I'd like to nominate Lauri. I got such a wonderful surprise today with so many wonderful comments on my PADs. Brought a smile to my face and made my morning a wonderful one :D
