My name is Kelly and I live in Stafford, Virginia which is about 40 miles south of Washinton, DC. I have been a Marine Corps wife for 18 years to Chris and we have 2 boys, Dustin (17) and Ryley (13), and 2 dogs (labs), Frazier and Baron. Currently my husband is serving in Iraq.
I started scrapbooking over 13 years ago, right before Ryley was born and have been an addict ever since. Back in the late 90's I was a a direct sales consultant with a national scrapbook company, but left the biz when my family had to move overseas (Kiev, Ukraine) with my husband's job. While living there I started a scrapbook club for teenagers and another for adults. They were great groups and full of international scrappers!
It is because of this hobby that I decided go back to school to study graphic design, and in the fall of 2004, I enrolled at the Art Institute of Washington. I will graduate this September! It has been a long 2.5 years and unfortunately my studies have kept me from doing any type of scrapping and I miss is it soooooo much. I do, however, keep up with all of the trends and noticed that over the past 3 years, digital scrapping has really taken off! I have Adobe Creative Suite on my Powerbook (I'm a huge Mac addict) and look forward to using these programs for scrapbooking!
I have already been looking at the tutorials and find them more informative than some of my instructors at school!
I can't wait to get started on my first digital page!
