Hi there, I'm quite new to this. Just wondering if someone could please tell me where I might find the instructions on how to install a new font.??

Also, question #2:
If anyone out there is using photoshop, (7), how can I make my page sizes correspond to what is actually printed out? When I do this, from starting a new file, it comes out all different... does this question make sense??

Thanks in advance for any mighty advice :o

If you download the font and it is a zip file, unzip and extract into your windows font folder. If you are downloading the font file itself (not zipped or compressed) then you can download it directly into you windows font file. Just in case you don't know: the windows font file is located; for XP;

C:/windows/fonts (click on my computer, your c drive, windows folder, then the fonts folder) should be similar for other versions.

I use photoshop 7 and may know what you are talking about but not sure: so here is my attemtp to help LOL.

When I choose new file, the window pops up, I customize, I choose 12 inches width, 12 inches height , and resolution is set at 200 pixel/inch mode: rgb
and I choose transparent background unless I need white for some reason.

Then when it opens I choose the magnifying glass(zoom tool) in the tools and at the top choose "fit on screen"

If you want to see actual size, then you choose "actual pixels" this will give you and idea of how big your layout really is. But I have never had a problem with it printing out wrong with these settings.

Although I now use CS (Adobe 8) The same is true for vs 5-7.
Once opened it is easier to resize. Click edit then resize canvas. change to inches then set inches as 11 x 8.5. Dpi to no more than 160 as that is normal 35mm quality. Most cameras do either 72 or 144 as scanners will do higher but most default to 150.
*IMPORTANT*
When printing, choose file, print set up. Select printer then properties. Change margins
change to 0.0 x 0.0 instead of default 0.5. select ok
then print.
This should give you a complete full page.
Hope this helps!!
