Ok, I have a
I've seen a lot of layouts on this site. Some that I'm most fond of are ones that were used in PSP. I use PS9 AND PSE5 and I just would like to know what would be the difference between the two.
If anyone knows and can post their replies here, that would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to invest in the software unless I have good enough reason to.
Thank you,
bethliz

Well i myself find it a personal preference..i did give Adobe a try but found it most confusing...besides i am more comfortable with PSP...it is what i know and what i am learning to use...i find that with me everything is a steep learning curve and that PSP suits me...i don't even use the newest version...just good old PSP 8...but i find it fabulous!! Cheers Liz

In fact, there is not much difference between the most popular softwares, but Photoshop is the greatest. Is PS 9 and Photoshop CS 2 one and the same program:confused: If so,you don't really need anything else. There are probably certain techniques that you are impressed by.Show us those layouts so someone of our seasoned Photoshop users can explain you how this can be done using your current software or point you to a tutorial.
I've got myself Paint Shop Pro X almost for free a few days before XI was released. Now,I'm asking myself what the heck was I looking for being completely satisfied with PhotoImpact and loving it.

I had been using PSP since version 4 for photo manipulation at work (we still only have PSP6 at work). So, that's what I knew and used at home prior to digiscrapping.
If I could afford PSCS2 (soon to be PSCS3), I would probably switch just because there are more things you can do in PS vs PSP... plus there are more tuts out there. And on the photo forums, they don't think there is anything else.
I did try PSE, but was so familiar with PSP that I kept going back to it. Plus, I think there are some things that PSP just does better.

Can you help a novice printer? Please? I just got a new Epson Stylus Photo 1280 for printing 12x12...and I'm befuddled! In PSP8, how do you get a 12x12 template? I click on "custom" and nothing seems to happen. What am I missing?

Hi yeah....boy are you lucky to have a printer you can print 12x12s with...i wish....hey this is what i would do..click on print layout....click and drag your 12x12 layout onto the blank sheet...when it says it wants to resize it click no...then go into print set up...click on properties in the right hand top corner...click on advanced...bottom right corner....this should bring up heaps of choices and your printer should give you the option of printing in different sizes i would pick the largest and then it should hopefully print your 12x12...sorry as i don't yet have a large printer...i print mine in 8x8 sizes....cheers Liz..hope this helps a bit?...let me know if it works or not?

I have been using Epson 1280 for a little over a year and I love it. To get it to print 12X12 you have to set it up first.
To open the printer right click choose properties/click printing preference/paper/papersize/ scroll all the way to the bottom of the list to user defined/click on user defined/in the user defined paper size dialog box set the width to 1200 and the heigth to 1200/give it a name in the paper size name box (at the top)/click save/and ok.
It will always be in the paper size selection from now on. When you get ready to print 12X12 just choose 12X12 (or whatever name you gave it) and that's it. Hope this gets you set up.
