Hello everyone!:)

I'm fairly new to digital scrapbooking and have only done a few layouts but I just love it!!

I curently use PSP Photo 11 and need help on converting brush files to use in it.
How do I do this?

Thanks much for the help!

I'm sorry, I don't use PSP, but there are several very knowledgable and helpful people here who do!! I'm sure one of them will pop right in to answer your question. :)

You can open or create any picture, max size 500x500 and File > Export > Custom Brush. Not sure if you are trying to convert other brush formats. The newer Photoshop brushes (.abr) should be converted in PS to an image format readable by PSP and then you would have to recreate the brushes.

PSP can read PS brushes created as version 5.5 or earlier. Later
versions cannot be read. You can try using this utility to create images
out of the brushes and export them as PSP brushes:
http://abrviewer.sourceforge.net/

Good luck!

It worked!

I used abrviewer to create thumbnails images of the brushes then opened them in psp then created the brush!

I had a look at that site but I am a bit confused about which thing to download, there seemed to be a few things there. Is it one zip of version 2 only or do you have to download 3 zip files? DAh!!!

I just download this today. I used the version two download link and then I think I used the third one as my downloaded. Good luck. Then I went brush hunting.

You only need to download the file 'abrViewer_v20.zip' with the setup program and the helpfile. Oh, and don't forget to get the .NET framework 1.1 off Microsoft's site if you haven't got it installed already (it may be part of your operating system if you've got a newish computer)...
