Fandango Challenge 1/29/07 - 2/4/07

Buttons, buttons, who's got the buttons??? Your challenge this week is to LUMP UP your page!!! Here is a set of buttons I've created for you, you may use these and/or anything lumpy you wish.

Freestyle pages tend to use elements in VERY creative ways. From doodles, rub-ons, and tape, to buttons like these I've made for you. Freestyle pages can pack quite a punch (imagine trying to get a page protector around some of these pages!), so let's try to take our pages to the next fandangin' level!!!

I am new here, can some one please explain to me what Fandango is? I am sure this is a dumb question. I don't know the answer though.

Also, if a person finished this challange, do they post their layout somewhere?

Fandango is so deceptive! All the white space looks easy, but it takes forever to fiil it up "just right". Took awhile, but had a blast!

Hi, Angie!!! The Fandango is our term for an ongoing set of challenges where we explore freestyle-style layouts. You can read all about the freestyle "style" here: FREESTYLE DESCRIPTION (http://digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15661)

We usually have challenges beginning on Mondays and ending on Sunday evenings. Sometimes we use inspiration pieces (like the buttons I made for you all this week), and sometimes we do other types of challenges. In all, it's a really fun way to stretch and explore new styles! Some weeks, you receive a bonus [free!] prize after posting a layout with a specific product or item from the store. During those weeks, we ask that you post a link to your layout in the Fandango Gallery (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=2943) after you've posted your layout (you can find the freestyle fandango challenge in the dropdown list of "galleries" when you upload your layouts. We also ask that you enter one challenge or contest per page (avoid entering a single layout in more than one challenge/contest).

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! I LOOOOVE the buttons! I LOOOOVE the Baby He page kit!! I know you made it for baby boys, but WOW it can be used for many many many many many many (did I say many?) types of layouts!!!!

I used it for photos of my child with her daddy and grandparents, and just LOVE it! Especially with those great buttons!

Oh, and I LOOOVE the Tabbed out Quick Click!

Well, here's my Fandango Dance :dance: for this week :)

It's doing double duty for the Fill the Shaker challenge because the shaker pocket was just too cute with the buttons in it :)
Filled the pocket with all sorts of lumpy stuff...Loved the challenge
I always like a lot of depth in my pages...this was just a great way to show it off!

Lovely buttons...I used them on this layout. Does this count as Fandango? I'm not sure exactly what Fandango is. Although I love the little Fandango commercials at the movies! I call the layout grungy...but is it Fandango too??? What ever it is you buttons are absolutely adorable!!!!!

I just posted my attempt at Fandango. I loved using the buttons to create a lumpy LO. I used elements from a whole lot of kits which kind of makes me worried that instead of Fandangoish it looks messy or crowded. I'm posting a second try at this fandango because I think I missed the whole point the first time around. And, you're all so nice, you complimented my elements or the photo, but not one person said that "This layout doesn't belong in this gallery at all! It's just not fandangish!" So, thank you for your patience, I hope this one is more appropriate to this challenge.

I made more sand and a couple more pieces of sea glass to stretch across the page, and used a completely different photo and concept, but otherwise, they're quite similar. Ha, Ha!
