Our ancestors were colorless and stuffy.

I don't THINK SO!

They wore drab clothes.

NO WAY!

They dressed in color.
Breathed in color.

Hip Heritage!
Use either Citrus Fling (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4905) by me (Beth Nixon) and Family and Forebears (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4876) by Z (Elizabeth Weaver) and post a layout by February 20th!

The challenge?? Use them to create a HIP HERITAGE layout! No more dark, drab colors . . . scrap those heritage photos like the people in them . . . full of life and COLOR!

Oh I do have some more of her. Most look more conservative though. She seemed a very old lady when I met her so I was quite surprised when I started scanning the photos. She has the potential for many more LOs I think.

Funny you have this challenge - I just did my first heritage LO (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=161478&cat=500&ppuser=56652) this week and though the photo is of course B&W I just couldn't bring myself to go the monochramatic color scheme. Looking forward to hearing more about this challenge. I've got MANY more hertiage photos to scrap.

I only have one old picture here at the house and I've got to scan that one into the computer and make some changes to it. So......my mom is supposed to find me some really ancient "heritage" photos in the next couple of days. This is the oldest usable one I've got right now. My father in law passed away last year the night before my birthday. We were in the room with him and he wasn't in pain. I did this layout for my husband.

I have tons of heritage LOs in my gallery, but this is by far the brightest! I'll hav eto look through my old photos or maybe rescrap one I've already done. I have a tendency to make my new photos look old and then scrap them in neutral layouts!! :eek:

Here's mine using Z's Father's and Forebears.

I used it for Ann Maree's Preserving Everyday challenge. The colours were just perfect to go with Our bedroom (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=167198&cat=3360) (and would be even better for the spare room, but I'm tidying out the wardrobe and so can't take photos at the moment).

I will be using this for some Hip Heritage at some stage in the future as I love the challenge concept. Thanks guys.
