What Happened to my Deform Tool?!

In PSP 8, my Deform Tool is "wacking out" on me. Normally, if I right click and drag a corner handle, it resizes things proportionally with no distortion, the same amount of resizing on the X axis and the Y axis. Lately it's decided it doesn't want to do that anymore. Just now, I wanted to size an image and right clicked on the corner handle and dragged it larger, and it worked for a second then stopped. It just wont' resize it all!
Shift, Ctrl does a perspective Deform, so that doesn't help me. I have to actually type the numbers into the X and Y box at the top to keep everything the same size.
It's been happening for the last several sessions. tia!

I have never had that happen to me before. that is very strange! I have had it act strange at times because it doesn't reset itself, so I will click with another tool and it will reset itself, but I haven't had it last beyond the next tool change. sorry, hope someone has the answer for you
