Hi there all, just been looking at the new FF Scrapbook edition and thinking of buying it. Has anyone else tried this programme and what do you think? It looks very cool and you have access to "papers and all things scrappy" by some well known design companies but I would love some opinions. Thanks in advance.

I use the older version of FotoFusion and absolutly love it. It is very easy to use (once you use it a bit) and I haven't found much that I can't do with it. The only problem I have found is that most of the scrapbooking world work in Photoshop and the templates for that do not work with FF but I can quickly copy any template in FF anyway.

I also use FF v3, have not upgraded yet. I'm very pleased with it, it works so easily and it can do so much. There's an active supportgroup on Yahoo, if you have any questions or want to share something.

Hey there Calico,
It has been a month since your post and I wonder if you purchased the FF and how you like it?

I have just upgraded to V4, because I asked nicely I got the "exteme" edition from my DH for my birthday, I am still getting to grips with the new interface, but some of the new features are good. I still revert to 3.7 Pro, for some things as I have not worked out the best way to do them in V4.

I am having problems using templates with FF. Do you have a simple easy way to explain that to me!

I downloaded the free trial of v4. I was looking at it for the collage feature, since I sometimes do senior pictures and might want to do some baby bits pictures. Does anyone use that feature? I know I can do it in photoshop 7 but autocollage is so nice. Unfortunately 300 bux for a program is NOT nice or doable for me right now. Just curious about others experiences with the program. Is it worth it or should I stick with my ps7 since I know it so well...(and i'm still learning more every day).

Thanks
DJ

I love it but I still have PSE as well. I tend to use PSE to do all my photo editing and applying neat effects to papers and elements then use FF to put it all together (As it is far easier with FF). Do you need the top version? The other 2 versions are more reasonably priced but do have some limitations on what you can output.

coachgjk - you have to do some tinkering with them unless they are specifically for FF. What I do is put the template preview as a background then use it to draw FF frames. Then I get all the layers in the right order and start dropping things in. Hope that is some help to you.

I don't "need" the top version but since I've been known to do some photography for seniors and families and such I usually figure get the best I can instead of having to pay to get it later. Is the scrapbook version something that works with elements that you can get here in the freebies and stuff or is it specifically for things you buy through the program? I saw something about credits and I barely have enough money with a new grand kid around to buy a little kit every now and then.

It will work with all the free kits and ones purchased on any site. I really don't like there credit system as you don't actually get the files (they are stored online) and they are really expensive compared to other digital kits. I have the older version and don't plan to upgrade. Apparently the old version is still available and is far better IMO.
