New Windows Vista

I had to buy a new computer and it came with the new windows vista system and now it will not take any of my programs that I used to do my scrapbooking. I was using PhotosuiteIII and Printmaster16. I would like to know if anyone has upgraded to the new system and having the same problems? I don't like the new window system. If you have any ideals about software that I can use I would be greatful for any help. Miss doing my scrapbooking and card making. Thanks again for all you help.:cry: :cry: :cry:

oh wow thats no good i will defiantly stick with xp that is what usually happens when they bring out a new version is there a accessories for old software compatibility?

OH man what a bummer!
I don't have vista, but here's some free software trials to keep you from spending more money, at least for a couple months. I use PSPxi and really love it. Takes a while to learn, but it's a good program.

I have ordered the upgrade. We got it free when we purchased our new pc. It hasn't arrived yet. I'd check out some free trials, too, as mentioned above. I have noticed that alot in older software. I hope you are able to get back to scrapping, soon.

I've heard that Vista and PSP don't go well together. Haven't tried it out myself yet.

I think there are programs and applications that arent Vista compatible but I dont know specifically about your program. We had to get a new scanner that was Vista compatible.

I've already told DH that I want XP reinstalled because I hate Vista!

I read somewhere (maybe corel site?) that there is a patch to install for PSP that it works with Vista.

Thanks Maikku - but since I heard nothing but negative things about Vista, I think I'll wait a while before switching from XP.

I won't be switching anytime soon, I just HAD to upgrade my office suite and that cost a pretty bundle!!!

Thank you all for your replies. I will try some of the free software, MY next thing is to go to Compaq and see how I can have xp put on my new computer. I think vista is a slower running program also. NOT HAPPY WITH VISTA at all. Thanks again.

We just bought 1st computer in Dec., a laptop w.XP and a rebate for Vista when it became available. The salesman said to get it but wait a few months to install until bugs were worked out. Hope that helps!Linda
