This week I thought we'd just have a little fun! No stress, just some fun! Let's take some photos and turn them into bobble heads!! Simply extract the person's head from the photo, paste it and enlarge it! Place it back on the head and voila! If you want to have even more fun....animate it!! Make multiple layers and just simply move the head slightly each time! Can't wait to see what you come up with!

I can make the bobble head but can't figure out the animation. I use CS2. Can you help me?

I use CS, and I animate in Image Ready. I'm not sure if it works the same in CS2, but once you get all your layers set click on "Edit in ImageReady" which is on the very bottom of the tools palette. Once in Image Ready, there is a filmstrip looking thing that you use to animate. Turn your layers on or off for each screen, so the head appears to "bob". Hope that helps!

I can't find the filmstrip. I've searched and searched. But I'm not going to give up. If it's there, I'll find it. Thanks for your help.

Actually CS2 got the capability to animate w/o going to image ready. I think it is a tad trickier though. You need to make sure your layers are all a background with the head moved slightly in each layer. I did this by duplicating the background layer, and then when I moved the head, I'd merge the 2 together. I had 4 layers total, all backgrounds with the heads slightly moved. Have only the first layer with the visibility turned out and the others with the visibility turned off. Go to Window --> Animation - at the bottom you should have a window that shows your first layer. There is an icon down there that looks like a new layer icon next to a trash can - that actually duplicates your frame. On the second frame you need to go back up to the layers pallate and turn visibility off the first layer and on the second layer. Repeat these steps til all 4 layers are on the animation pallate. You can preview by hitting the play button. When this is all done go to File--> Save for Web and in that window reduce the image size until it is under the 125 k, and make sure you are saving as a GIF. HTH!
