1. tell him of all the fun we'll have. tell him you might win big prizes. tell him you want to print your 12x12 pages. tell him of all the people you'll meet.

2. beg!

Hey....this might not be too far from me! About 4-5 hour drive. Hmm..maybe I could talk hubby into going! The 21st is our wedding anniversary. Anybody know if there's a Bass pro shop or Dick's sporting goods nearby? That would get him there. Heeheee

Hey Scrapmel, if the hubby's won't go then maybe we could meet up somewhere and go. I don't have a laptop, but I'd love to come.

Hey, prodigal, my trip is about 5.5 hours (according the great mapquest) ... my hubby would go if he could play golf - and I was allowing him to play golf!!! I think I will see if he does want to come too! At least all our hubby's could get together and complain about how much we ignore them when we scrap! LOL!
You know how there are golf widows (I was one for soooooooo long)? I guess our hubby's could be scrap widowers (Isn't that the guy version?) LOL!

You know i really want to come to ALL of them - theres just this small issue of um - Money!!!- Its a really hard decision which one to make it to and having already been to the US twice this year - well - I must say the family are getting a bit antsy about it!!- they keep asking when THEY can come!!!!- I may not make it back at all this year but I sure hope I can make it to at least ONE of these events - ( Actually I have a penpal of 30+ years who lives in Reston VA and I know she would want me to come to this one!!!!)

If you do, then take a little drive further south and I'll make you some greasy fried artery clogging heart thumping genuine southern food. I hope we can ALL make it to at least one of the crops.

Hey scrapmel, according to the great mapquest it is going to be just under 4 hours for me. Not as far as I thought! :yahoo:

Hey - This one is actually a possibility for me too. I have to check and see if this conflicts with the festival we attend in the mountains each year. Our wedding anniversary is also in June (June 16...will be 17 years). I'm chuckling over how many of us have anniversaries in June.

And Lauren - You really are due to make a trip to the east coast of the US!

Wow, I used to live just minutes from Chantilly. Now I live 2 hours away but I guess that is still close enough to come. I just wonder if there will be enough for those of us that only do digital? I'll have to let my Mom know about it though, she only does paper! If you have a beginner digital session, I'd love to get her to sit in on it. Maybe we can even talk my Dad into letting her borrow the laptop!

Margie

and if any of you have tips about a campground nearby, holler! i might bring the whole crew in the camper!

Okay, I have never been to a scrapbook convention - soooo, I went to the main website, and VA's registration isn't open yet. I do have some questions:
1) do I have to buy the general admission ticket? I don't think I want to go to that since it deals with paper - and I might get sucked back in to that!
2) Do I register for DSP's workshops and classes on that site?
3) Can I ask more questions when I think of them? lol!

I BOOKED IT, I BOOKED IT, I BOOKED!!! No backing out now - got my reservation for the Friday Digi Crop and my room!!! Woohoo!
I didn't buy any of the general admin tickets or any classes ... who is going to do what? I am sooo excited!
Oh, is there a list of 'remember to take this'? Just wondering!
I am soooo EXCITED! Can you tell? hehhheee!:yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I am having a bit of a scare! I told the woman who watches my kids that I will be out of town for this convention - I told her about a month ago. She tells me two days ago she is going on vacation then! I don't know what I am going to do ... my parents can't watch my two kids all day and night ... my in laws work too ... ACK!!! I am having a nervous break down!!!! Okay, I just had to pour out my troubles to someone ...

I signed up for this but am really thinking of canceling. It really sucks that it has to run so late at night...I live close enough that typically I would drive back and forth, but a 2-hour drive in the wee hours of the night is not my idea of fun. And if I have to stay overnight, that's considerable extra expense...not just hotel but pet sitters for my dogs, etc. Too bad I don't still live down there 10 minutes from Chantilly!

I believe I am going to bring my external drive. It is not that big. I just do not want to bring a lot of CD's ect. I live in NC and it is 100 degrees today. I am sure the temperature is going to be just as hot. I am going to work on a small album for my Mom's trip to the Philippians. I am not sure what else ;-)
