View Full Version : Resource for genealogy research
Much of my digital scrapbooking is devoted to putting together scrapbooks of my genealogy findings, along with photos I've scanned and solid information. While searching online the other evening I happened upon books.google.com (http://books.google.com/advanced_book_search)! I didn't know about it! I've entered some names that I know from my distant heritage and have come up with some very helpful books (some that can be downloaded in PDF format). Some only have a "snippet" of information but even that has given me a couple of dates. I'm excited and thought I'd share.

Oh, Man! I could get lost in there for hours!!
Thank you for sharing, Pam.
I spent days in New Mexico looking up family history--it was fascinating!
Love it!

I first started scrapbooking because of all the cool old photos I was accumulating along with my genealogy research. Now that i've got one of my manuscripts pretty much written about this one branch of my family tree, I'm looking for little vintage graphics to use on both text and photo pages. Since I'd be self-printing, I want to limit the amount of ink that would be used. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Also,I am supposed to turn the big 50 in a couple weeks (I'll take the gifts but no the new age). What do you have to do for the DSP birthday gift?
thanks
Kathy
