Thank you all for the lovely vintage car page blues - obviously you were inspired - some gorgeous pages :) The winner of the Blue Challenge was Greenfingers - Bodium Castle (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=175413&cat=2621) - well done on a lovely page :) - please email me (meryl@dsplace.com) with your name, user name and email address and you will be on the list to have a preview of my next product to the store!

The Challenge for the week to come - Out of Bounds / Out of Frame - I did a page, Inanda Dam (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=176191&cat=2621) to illustrate - about time I uploaded a page or two LOL! but you will find many more if you search - one search I did (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?mcats=all&si=out++frame&what=allfields&name=&when=3&whenterm=y&condition=and) and another (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showgallery.php?mcats=all&si=out++bounds&what=allfields&name=&when=3&whenterm=y&condition=and) - I am sure many more to be seen too. You will find tutorials here for all programs (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/outofbounds_ew.shtml) and here for PSP (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/psp_outofthebox_vb.shtml) - do read both, principles are the same and you will get different ideas. We had a discussion on using masks - if your program has masks, I challenge you to use them for this weeks challenge, I guarantee once you have used them you will never use the eraser again - they really are so simple to use, and you will find tutorials in the tutorial section of the campus (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/tutorials.shtml) - just search for the word mask on the index, there are a number. For further inspiration, and reasons to use masks, do read my article Don't make irreversible changes (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/articles/changingyourmind_mb.shtml)

Remember the T42 rules:
Your page must use my products and they must be linked to the store.
They have to be posted before 11.00 am on Thursday of each week to be in the voting.

Good luck with your pages and enjoy doing them, I look forward to seeing what you come up with :)

I had so much fun with this technique, I made 2 very different LOs!

The first is called Poppy & Sibs (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=176396&cat=2621). This is my grandfather and his brothers and sisters. On this one, I layered the frame on top and erased it.

MERYL, would you PLEASE consider making a Carved Text Alpha to go with the dates? I would LOVE to put the words SIBS in the top left corner to balance the date in the lower right, but couldn't find an alpha or font that matched close enough. I will gladly beg for it. (Please, please, please!) LOL! ;)

OK, now that that's out of the way... ; )

My second one is called Annabelle MOO (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=176399&cat=2621). This one was fun. For this one, I used the Freehand Crop to make a mask of Annabelle's head and layered it on top of the photo and frame, adding drop shadows.

This was my second attempt at this page. For some reason, I thought Meryl did all of the "Ten Things" kits and had my page all finished and when I started to add the credits, I realized that the kit I used was Lauren's. :o I uploaded it anyway and it's HERE (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=176395&cat=500&ppuser=81914) if you'd like to see it. : ) (Same extraction technique.)

Thanks, Meryl! I had fun with this one!!!

Here is my try for this one: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=176651&cat=2621
Just for fun, I tried to use the techniques from the last couple of weeks as well. Those who were at the chat a couple of weeks ago may remember giving me the idea of taking pictures of DH making the marmalade, as I had mentioned that he was hard at work doing this at the time.

Meryl...do we have to use purchased products of yours? I have the "10 Summer Pagers" freebie of yours...would that work? Or does the whole page have to be done with your products exclusively?

DH has taken the day off sso we are leaving for our Easter weekend caravanning as soon as we are packed - we have Kate and Marc and the kids joining us so should be fun. Sunday we will so especially miss dear Dad, it has become a family tradition for them all to join us for Easter Sunday lunch – he SO loved that outing……. All these “firsts” are so very hard

My wishes to all of you for a very happy and blessed Easter.

Happy Easter everyone! I am sorry I have had to miss the Heritage AND T42 chats, the heritage challenge, and commenting. I assure you it hasn't been by choice and I hope to do a lot better next week.

Do we have a theme for next week then or will that be posted later (or just no LO this week?)

Happy Easter to everyone! I'll have the kids home from school Friday, Monday and Tuesday and our internet is getting upgraded Monday, so I won't be on much until the middle of next week.
