Hi Everyone,
I'm brand new to scrapbooking of any kind but have wanted to get in to it for years. I live in Atalntic Canada and and work as a supervisor in the customer service industry. I'm married to my wonderful DH for 3 years and don't have any children yet.
I've been using Paint Shop Pro for approximately 5 years. At this time I don't have scrapbooking software and was interested is ordering Pixel Magic but it can't be shipped to Canada:cry: So, if you have any suggestions or recommendations for software that you've used and enjoyed, please let me know.
I look forward to getting to know everyone!

Hai there Jenny and Welcome to DSP!!
Maybe you just could try to download some free trials from different programms and see what's best for you.
I have been using psp X and loved it, but at the moment I'm using PSE 4 (paintshop elements) and it's great too.
I think it's a personal thing, just try some.
Good Luck and hope to see your LO's in the gallery soon.

What version of PSP do you have? I use XI for all my digi scrapping. And before I upgraded, I used X. I can't remember if I did any with 7 (my first version of it).

Welcome! PSP is great for digi scrapping. A good deal of people do use PSP and Photoshop for it here. There are many psp tutorials as well! Look forward to seeing your work!

First of all, welcome!! I'm am a little new myself. I use PSE 5.0 and LOVE it!! I am currently taking a course and trying to learn all the ins and outs that the program offers. I have used several other scrapbooking programs, and so far I feel like PSE does more than any of the other ones and so easy to work in. You can organize photos and scrapbooking material in the program, just photos or just scrapbooking. It is an awesome program!!! Hope that helped a little!!!

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I've been using Paint Shop Pro for such a long time and have never really considered switching but I've been reading about PSE and this may be the program I go with. I work anywhere from 50 - 60 hours a week but can't wait to actually get started. I'm looking forward to the weekend:) I'm off to look at some tutorials...thanks again for all the advice!
PSE is fun too but don't uninstall your PSP as it can do text on a path which PSE to my knowledge cannot! :)

Jenny:
I have used PSP since it was shareware. :)
And since you're already familiar with it ... you'll do GREAT! I've learned things working in digital scrapping that I never knew HOW to do at all before, and in the past year I've made my PSP just stand up and shine!
There are tutorials that will get you started up at the menus...look for "The Campus" and read the New To Digital ... and Tutorials pages for loads of ideas. There's a Paint Shop Pro category (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=74) here in the Forums where experienced PSP Scrappers answer our questions, too.
I'll look forward to seeing you crank out lovely pages! Please do not hesitate to ask questions!
