How do you save an image for the best print quality for 12 x 12 layouts at Costco. I don't want to reduce it down like I do for uploading to this site because of loss of quality, right? I have created a blank image that is 12 x 18 and gone to the layout I wanted to have printed. I copy merged it and pasted it onto the 12 x 18. That is where I am stuck. I just saved as a jpeg and tried to upload it but I get an error message:
resolution warning
You have chosen a photo that has too low of a resolution to produce a quality print. Costco Photo Center cannot guarantee your satisfaction if you use this photo. If you would like more information regarding image resolution, please refer to our help section resolution info.[/B]

It then says that this is the minimum requirement for 12 x 18:
12 x 18 Enlargements 2070x1380 pixels

But what resolution do I put in on in order to then pick the pixels? I tried just leaving it at 200 and changing the pixel numbers but that isn't working.

Of course, I have tried contacting Costco and no one there can help me. I have waited 2 days for someone to call me back that can help. I am hoping you guys can!

Anyone use Costco for printing 12 x 12's that can help?

Thanks!

Put your resolution of your blank 12x18 to 300 ppi instead of 200 ppi. You may have to stretch the page to make it fit across (it will be smaller than 12x12 at 200 ppi and 12x12).

Another handy trick for Costco - in the blank spot at the bottom/side, put 2, 6x6 copies of the page - that way you have some to give away (to grandparents, etc.)

Hope this helps!

Thanks Slurpeegirl13!

I did what you said about making my new document 300 instead of 200 and enlarged the layout to fit but now what???? Resize to 72? Not sure how to get the measurements of 1380 x 2070 and have it be 12 x 18.

Thanks so much for your help!
