Hi all...I'm having trouble with the first step...I can't get my background picture to fill the space...I clicked on edit -> free transform and it will move the picture but, not fill the space when I try to click on the corner...what am I doing wrong?
Also is there a tut on how to remove someone or something from a photo and firstly, is this type of photo manipulation for more advanced users..I don't want to bite off more than I can chew...and hell, I'm on a diet...LOL
I so want to be able to make this layout it will be only my 3rd and it's a style I like the most! Maybe I'm the perfect candidate for the mentoring program :)

i do highly recommend mentoring! it'll be so helpful!
for the cutting out people, you don't want to try that just yet. i'd wait til you can munch on photoshop a tad more...
i'm not certain what you mean by fill the space? are you trying to enlarge it? (keep in mind if you're printing you don't want to enlarge much, and do it in baby steps if you do, a little at a time looks much better than just enlarging it once) when you click free transform, are you clicking the corners? you need to drag them, so click and hold. and drag to the size you need. and hold shift to keep your photo proportional too. and let us know if i've totally misunderstood the question too! Just a thought....make sure you have "bounding box" checked up at the top when you transform. This will give you little boxes on the corners to hold on to when you enlarge.
