View Full Version : How to credit IOTW?

Not sure if this is the right forum, but.....

When I get a new kit, I rename all of the files. For example, every file in Lauren's IOTW Pick Me will have added to its name _LBavin@5389dsp. Makes for long file names, but I use the Collector script to bring in my layers and the credits are right there when I'm finished.

After that lengthy explanation..............:o I think the IOTW numbers are different than the kits' regular numbers. If I credit the designer with the IOTW number, how does that help people looking for the kit after it goes back to its regular price?

And, yes, I'm in a rather anal mood this morning.

Here's what I used to do when I ran the IOTW challenges and did them each week . . .

In the credits, I would put, get the kit this week here (link to IOTW) and after such and such date, get it here at regular price (link)

I would then put both numbers in my keywords.

For my filing, I would file it under the regular price number since the IOTW number is only good for that week.

Does that make sense?

Makes all the sense in the world. Maybe I've missed that on the IOTW thread -- will start looking for it. Thanks, Bethy.

I've never thought to do that Bethy - good idea - I've included the permanent link in this week's post! Thanks!

I never realised that the number changed, so I'm glad this subject was aired:)

I did realize the keyword number changed so I always used the permanent one. I'll add the temporary one as well now, good suggestion.
