I treated myself to flowers this week, for no reason at all other than I really love Alstromeria. I used Rene's Ain't Too Shabby Add On Pack for this layout and used one of the papers over a rose background to pick up the color from the flowers. I love the fabulous elements in this kit..so pretty and feminine!! And the stitching is to die for!

I was dying to use Rene's May Flowers page kit - the blue of this background was a great match for Alex's eyes, and I recolored where I needed to. Because this was a "boy" layout, I skipped the beautiful flowery papers and kept this as non-frilly as I could. It was actually easy with this kit - it's so versatile! I'll definitely be using this one again! :yes:

Rene's April Showers kit had these really pretty, grungy papers in neutral colors (there are some flowered ones too), and I used it along with her Book Marks Doodles (a really cute elements set that coordinated perfectly with this kit!).

I have to say, I was suffering from a little scrapping block, but there's nothing like a quick click to get you past that, and I used Rene's What a Trip quick click - worked out really well :) I also used Tina's That Christmas Feeling Word Art and Suzanne's Tara Sue Font to round out the layout.

I had so many photos from our vacation.....I used Rene Bross' One Delightful Day Page Kit (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7441) with it's blues and greens and patterns that reminded me so much of the ocean and the places we saw. I used Suzanne Walker's GoGo Year Album - January 2 Page Template (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7428) as a basis for this two page layout. I adapted the lower section to accomodate my photos. I also used Meryl Bartho's Glitterbet - Crystal Sapphire Alpha (http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7436) (slightly recolored) for my title, because it reminded me of the pretty, sparkling ocean in Mexico.

WOW did I have fun with this kit! I think I could design a whole book with this series of kits made by Meryl Bartho. For this LO I used her Paper Apple Tree Page Kit and her Cracked and Creased Overlay #1 and I added Rene Bross's Beautiful Soul Overlay to frame the LO and then I used Suzanne Walker's font Maddie Moo for the title.
