Affirmation Challenge - Week 2

Today starts off week 2 of our Affirmation Challenge. The first week was to scrap something about yourself that you like, which can be difficult. This week's challenge is to find something about yourself that you DON'T like, which for some of us is pretty easy to do. However, as this challenge is about helping us to see ourselves in a more positive light, I want you to take this negative thing about yourself and scrap how you can turn it into a positive. Find something about yourself that you don't like, and visualize how to turn it into something you can like, and how you plan to go about it. I know this can be hard, and if you feel your layout is too personal to put in the gallery, you may leave off parts of it, or most of it, change the title for the web copy...this challenge is to help you feel more positive about yourself, so your web copy does not have to be identical to the layout you keep for yourself.

I'd like to join you in your affirmation challenges. I've been considering scrapping an album about myself and using affirmations throughout and your challenges will be ideal, I think. Anyway, I'll buy your appropriately named 'Free to be Me' kit and try a page. I've not scrapped for a while so I may not meet the deadline but if not I'll join at the start of affirmation 3. I can't wait to see what the posting bonus will be! That's going to be a nice surprise isn't it!! :) Mo

This is when Mike and I were remarried. We had been divorced for several years although we still were together as a family; we were only apart a couple weeks while getting divorced and just went through with it for financial reasons mostly. A couple months before we were remarried, he left us (me) for someone else and nearly devastated me. Actually, neither one of us did very well for those two months! (You can tell since we both look awful here!!) The grass may have *looked* greener in that other meadow, but there were just as many weeds over there! It didn't take him long to realize that Tina's words are soooo very true - we were the family that made him feel secure and loved! It has taken all of us a while to get over those two months, but we are back now and stronger than ever! God has seen us through and blessed us more than we could imagine! So, I guess whichever of my many faults that made him feel he had to leave, are the faults I want to change in our new marriage.
