So did you try putting the action files into the presets>action folder for CS3 and they didn't work? Do you remember who the developer was?

another thought .. you might want to try searching photoshopcafe.com (http://www.photoshopcafe.com/cafe/) to see if they have addressed this or post a new entry to see if they can advise you...

Bobbie as ibjiowa as said put it in the programme files>adobe>pscs3>presets>actions, then open up pscs3 and click on the little fly out tab on the right of the actions pallet, then go to load actions and manouver to where you have just put the action, high light it and click ok, and there you go all done :)

You can load an action from anywhere - you just click on the little icon on the actions palette to load new actions - then click Load Actions and browse to where you have your actions stored
thanks everyone for your advice and info...here is the problem...i did all that before i posted the question...the thing is if i go thru my computer to the folder i see the file...if i open photoshop and go to actions and go to the load actions and then i go to photoshopcs3... presets..actions...it doesnt show up... you dont see the folder there.... wierd???? could it be that ps3 doesnt recognize it??? i dont know what to do....may try to call adobe??? or see if i can contact the vintage photo its on panos fx... but it doesnt look like a site that i will get any emails back from...not like all you wonderful friends at dsp.... any ideas are appreciated....

guess that's why I asked the question about what you'd already tried. have you tried searching through any of the online support sites yet? i'm looking through the adobe photoshop support forum for you right now...will return any helpful info I can find...
it might help to know if you are on mac or pc? (I use pc, so my knowledge is only in this area...)
an hour later...aargh! it's windy in NWIowa so my satellite signal is SLOW today...not sure when I'll get something to post that could be helpful...sorry...
have you just tried File>Open yet?

Are you sure the file is unzipped - that the folder contains an .atn file - that is the only type of file that photoshop will "see"when its looking for actions

Your Desktop is a special place - if you can't browse to the desktop, then move it to your main hard drive and see if you can locate your .atn file there.

Panos (from PanosFX.com) is VERY good about responding to queries about his actions. His site has been slow for me to day, but he will respond.
