I'm going to get a new computer in a few months. Should I wait till then to install ACDSee? How easy is it to change all the filing you've done to a new computer? I don't want to organize all my kits and then have to do it all over on a new computer, but I would like to get started now if I could. I'm so impatient! Thanks for any info.

I am pretty sure there is a way (I know I read it somewhere but I can't find it now) - Connie will probably know though :)

I have just done this!! As long as the storage tree remains the same (ie your kits are on drive D on the old computer...then they will need to be on drive D on the new computer) then you can transfer easily. I had all my kits on my spare drive H in my pc. Then I got my laptop, and I got an external HD, I just went into the properties of the drive and re-named it to H. And it worked beautifully!!! Which is great 'cause I spent ages organising.
Like Sharon says, Connie will be able to give you the proper directions. Or you could just pop over to digiscrapinfo.com and find the instructions there. (that's how I found it.)
Good luck..

Hi Bobbie,
I had a bit of a challenge myself this morning.
Some questions for you if you'd take a few minutes -
When you go there where do you look? which sections?
Maybe we need more categories on the FAQ's page here? Did you get to this page?
Commonly Asked Questions? (http://www.digiscrapinfo.com/phpmyfaq/)
Any ideas on how we could make it easier?
If anyone has ideas, changing things around is easy (I'll have my sister do it! :p )
i try to find search and it is on the bottom and sometimes i just go to what acdsee can do for scrapbooking on top thinking that it will be there .... i think maybe if there was just a bigger search box and more near top...or the faq ...near top...didnt even see it i dont think for awhile.... just a lot on page and i guess it takes me awhile to figure out...but onnce you get to the article you gals are the best..it really does explain it and answers your questions or walks you thru what you need to do...hope this is ok what i said
