I need HELP! A while back, I had posted to DSP forums if anyone had a place online to print print 12 x 12 digi pages and got the suggestion for Scrapbooks to share at www.sbtoshare.com.

Well, I have dial-up so my only option was to save my layouts to a CD and mail to them and the service with them was very speedy. I got them back and am not pleased. The layouts look blurry.

I emailed them and they suggested I save the JPEG at a higher resolution and resend and they would reprint at no charge.

Here are my specs for one page: I use Adobe Photoshop CS2. I chose "save for web" and then chose JPEG, Maximum and quality 100 and checked the "optimized" button and it is 3600 x 3600 pixels and chose the "constrain proportions" box and the final size is 6.49M

My question is .... is that all I do? I have never printed a 12 x 12 and want to do it right this time. So any suggestions are much appreciated. The colors on the layouts look great on the glossy paper from the scrapbooks to share website, but the layouts were blurry so Mike from there said to save at a higher resolution and resend.

I appreciate any help you can offer in this matter.
Thanks so much

Brenda, when you use the "Save for Web" option, you are saving at only 72 resolution, WAY too low for printing. You want to use the regular "Save As" and save as a full size JPEG.

Hope that helps!

Save for web isnt idea for printing - If you are printing it yourself you can just print direct from PS - you dont even need to save as a jpg - but if you are sending away then as Meg said - Save as - jpg and then keep the compression slider way up high .
