I'm planning to buy a Rebel XTi very soon.
Where have you all found the cheapest prices and good service?
Thanks!

I adore and trust buydig.com, the sister company of beachcamera.com. They always have the best prices, they don't scam you, and most often it's free shipping!

I am slobbering over that new 10 MP xti.
Better pick my jaw off the floor. Might take a couple years of saving pennies for that!

Beach and B&H photo both have pretty good reps.

I can't help you there, Tina, since I'm in Canada, but we bought ours locally since the service is better for us that way. You can definitely trust Jenn's suggestions! BTW, are you sure you don't want a Nikon? :p :D
All the best with your purchase!

And realizing you probably don't need the lenses, I should've included just the body price. *lol* Okay, so I'm used to people who don't already have the lenses and stuff. ;) Both Beach Camera and B & H sell it for $662.

Tina, I just bought an XTi from B&H, "body only" because everyone was telling me the kit lens was not good quality and you were better off buying a "L" series Canon lens or an off brand . I just ordered a Tamron 28-70mm f2.8 XR Di lens from B&H. This lens came highly recommended. I also bought a 100mm - 400mm L series Canon lens and shot some moon photos with it. The pics came out great. The camera is great and I know you will be enjoying it alot. I bought the XTi for a backup for my Canon EOS Mark II DS, but whenever I can I know I will be using the XTi because of it's lightness and size. Have fun shooting. Sue
FYI; dpreview.com has great camera / photography imfo. They even have a forum for the Canon Rebel XTi series cameras. A great link to find out what others are doing. They also have very indepth reviews on cameras - all brands.

Jennifer, Am leaving on a vacation to the Queen Charolette Islands, B.C., Canada in a little over a week and plan to bring the new XTi, the Tamron 28-70mm lens & the 100-400mm lens. There will be great opportunities to capture eagles, whales, bears and other wild life while on this fishing trip. This was the main reason for the "big" lens purchase. Hope to get the "moon" shot posted soon, but life is a little crazy right now. Can't wait to use all this cool camera stuff. I too have heard great comments on not just the lens but the camera body too. Hope to post a lot of wildlife & scenery shots from the vacation. Sue
