Hey Next Steppers! DSP is looking for an advanced scrapper who wants to help coordinate and refresh our Member-Hosted Activities area.

Where it goes is up to you! Crops every week? Every month? Whatever! We love that DSP members have so many great ideas, and we want to see more of them! Challenging each other is such a friendly way to learn new skills and explore new styles and themes.

As the coordinator of this area, you could help set the crop/chat schedules, gather new ideas, and organize chat leaders. You would not have to run the chats yourself, but help advertise them and find members who have something to share.

This is such a fun way to get involved! It needs a shot in the arm since I let it (and most of the rest of my life) go last year.

All you have to do is find willing hosts and fill out the schedule. Encouragement for those hesitant to host and "pimping" the event is a good idea, too. You don't even have to show up to the chat every time! Right now it's every other Tuesday, but it could be every Tuesday, or once a month, etc. I encouraged them to keep it really simple, like choose something from the Inspiration Gallery and just show up for a Quick Crop. Sometimes they'd just show up and chat and socialize, no crop: whatever the host wanted to do!

If you've been wanting to get more involved, this is a great way to do it!

I'd love to help but I'm not sure I think of myself as too advanced. "Having a good grasp on things' is more like it............so if whoever steps up to the plate wants an assistant, I'd love to help with some hosting!

Hey, you're both hired! Basically it's just coordinating hosts and asnwering their questions for how ever often you want to hold the chat. currently it's every other Tuesday night, but it can be more, less, or the same frequency, and whenever there's an open spot on the calendar.

It's a great way to get more involved in your own little niche.

If you check out the original threads, that will explain how we have been doing it, so feel free to run with that or change things as you like. Just holler out in that Schedule Thread (you have a whole forum!) and start signing people up to host! I usually encourage simple things like a Quick Crop with something from the Inspiration Gallery, or just show up and hang out. There will be people who want to do something more involved, and that's up to them. Restrictions are the normal DSP stuff: freebies welcome, no prizes given by DSP, no linking to or promoting other commercial sites.

I'm a little slow responding to this....still trying to get caught up after being gone last week. I am very interested in this as well....I don't know that I am qualified to coordinate it and it sounds liken you have a few people that are interested in that position anyway, but I LOVE the idea of hosting a chat either once or on a semi-regular basis. I love ad challenges and would love to find a few to use or also the idea of quick crops sounds like a ton of fun. Let me know if you are in need of more hosts. Thanks!!

I would definitely like to help out with a challenge or whatever but the chats are held when I am at work so I cant attend the chats silly time zones grrrrrrrrrrr
