Bobbie asked how I made the rounded corners on my photo in this layout:

I work in Photoshop CS2. On a new layer, draw a rectangle just smaller than the photo using the Rounded Rectangle Tool (found in the tool palette with the Rectangle Tool). Then rasterize that shape by using the pull-down menus (Layer > Rasterize > Shape).

Then you can use the Magic Wand tool to select everything outside the rectangle shape. Switch to your photo layer and hit delete. Delete the shape layer and voila! your photo has rounded corners.

You can alter the size of the corners by adjusting the "radius" on the Options toolbar at the top, before you draw out the rectangle shape.

Hope this helps!

one way I like to do it is after drawing the rectangle, just ctrl-g (or ctrl-alt g depending on the version) to clip it to the shape. You can merge the two layers if you want to.

Do this with ANY shape, text, whatever!
