Props and Prompts: CHAT {July 10} CHALLENGE {July 10-24}

And you may have noticed our products featured this round both have a time in the name - we didn't plan it that way but it actually will make a wonderful challenge; I can think of two layouts I can easily do using her page kit and mine! I also find it keen that both page kits have a "love" theme.

Scrap a layout which incorporates some time of the day (or the day you took the photo) which is special to you or was special at the time. For example a sunset or sunrise photo, or a calm moment by the sea when you were the only one there because the other beachgoers weren't up yet, that kind of thing. Take a few minutes to think about how it felt to be right there right at that particular moment and why the time of day was important to the overall experience. Why did you love that moment in time? Add that in to your journaling. You are capturing more than the photos with this one; you are capturing your feeling of where and when you were. When you let that shine through, a layout is even more special, and it shows in your work. You can even do this one without photos if there is a story to be told without them.

Of course you may change the kit colors to suit your photos, and as always, you don't have to accept the prompt challenge. As long as you are scrapping with either Morning Breeze or Midnight Secret you will get the posting bonus!

Thanks for the heads up. Had very little time to shop, and your posts really helped me focus. Sorry that I didn't have time to really shop the specials today. Just had too much to do, from a very long appointment in Boston to a meeting this evening, and I haven't even finished my Digital D'lights LO yet. Time for bed - tomorrow is a new day and a new sale. Even though I didn't make the chat, here's my layout for this challenge. I took these photos on the beach in South Carolina early one August day in 2003. What a surprise to see all of these starfish out of the water on the sand! All I was trying to do was get a good photo of the sunrise!
