View Full Version : TNS - Sketch Challenge, July
Are you ready for Christmas in July?! It's on its way, here at DSP, so I thought the Next Steppers ought to get started. Here's your sketch for July:

This is a fairly bare sketch, remember you can dress it up however you like.
Here's my example, I'll link it to the gallery so you can see it larger:

But, as you can (kind of) see, instead of using the tree shape for paper or photos, I shaped my text to fit, and it contains many of my Christmas memories. I plan on working on this layout some more, it's not completely where I want it, but I do like how it's so different from my other layouts and I used a new technique (text in a shape), one of the many reasons we started this forum!

Gosh this seems difficult but I love playing with text and making word art and definitions so I think I'm going to enjoy this! Need some quiet time for scrapping and journalling - maybe tonight! :) Mo

oh this is nice!!!! I love it and I plan to give it a go. :)
Oh, this is entirely too cool. I have to try this!! I'll be thinking about how exactly this can be done with my software, but this is definitely a challenge I want to tackle! Thanks, Meg!!!!
I hope I wasn't confusing in my instructions! You don't have to use the tree shape for text, that's just what I chose to do. Fill it with paper, photos, text, word art, or a mix of everything!
Like all sketches, this one is just a jumping off point for your imagination, have fun!

Looking for somewhere to report that I have done a LO based on my house plan (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=202324&cat=500&ppuser=18693)
Here is the sketchplan next to it (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=202325&cat=500&ppuser=18693)
Fascinating to do when I stuck close to the floor plan.
I have done another but allowed myself leeway and am disappointed with that one.
CC valued. by the way!

I'm not too happy with my Christmas tree sketch; (http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=202562) mainly the elements... Nice elements, not used well...
Please don't be afraid to give CCC, I want to stretch!
