I'm new to doing LO's w PSE and I have signed up to take Emma's next class. I was wondering if it is possible to scrap a 12x12 and then print it in an 8x10? I know your LO would be smaller but it is easier to scrap in 12x12 for me. I looked in the forums and tutorials and did not find anything about this.
Thanks!

Hi Nella--- Unfortunately, the answer to your question is no, you cannot take a 12x12 and reduce it to 8x10..at least not using the transform tool. Basically what you are doing is squishing 12 inches into an 8 inch space and then squishing 12 inches into a 10 inch space. It will look very warped. In essence taking a square and mashing it into a rectangle.
You would need to remake the background into the size you want and then adjust each photo/element to fit. I just had to go thru this with a layout that had 37 layers. Oh Good Times !!!! LOL
If you want to see what I mean, pull up your layout, CTRL >T.. [make sure your rulers are showing (VIEW>RULER)] now adjust the length and width of your layout into the new size. See what I mean??? HTH

Well you can't change it to an 8x10 but you can definitely reduce it to an 8x8. That is what many do.
I am one of those Amanda is talking about. You can create a layout in 12x12 but then print it 8x8. That way it retains the proper proportions but it can be printed on a smaller sheet of paper. You just have to cut off the "extra" part of the paper before putting it in an 8x8 album (see, there is still a use for those paper scrapping supplies!!!).
